You NASCAR guys know how the race went tonight. Just a week ago I met tonights race winner and last years champion Brad Keselowski. Just a lousy phone pic, but here it is.

Thanks all for the well wishes, but Bernie's comment sums it up best. Four hours of Cup tire testing upon our arrival on Thursday, after we stop in at the Cabelas next to the track, Cup and NW practice and Cup qualifying followed by an ARCA championship deciding race under the lights Friday, Nationwide race Saturday, American Royal BBQ Saturday night, and the Cup race Sunday. Oh yea. Almost forgot wings and beer in Des Moines Iowa Wednesday night on the way down. And a night at the Hinckley Minnesota casino for prime rib and some blackjack Monday night on the way home. Then back to work over the Trout tanks on Wednesday.

Wow Joey. He broke his leg in a sprint race about a month ago. He's done for the season. Mark Martin is driving his cup car for the rest of the year. Tony is in a wheelchair now.

As a Leafs fan, this one is obvious. Reg season starts Tuesday. I'm pretty pumped about the Leafs this year. Let's see how the Leafs and my buddy Dion do this year. But the most exciting thing about next week for me is my annual trek to Kansas City for NASCAR chase race #4. This will be year #11 for me. What a fun week this is. Besides the race, we'll be attending the largest bbq competition in North America. The American Royal. It's just another big party. But before I leave on Wednesday, I have to get through two 10 hour days working along side tanks of huge Brook Trout, Lake Trout and Steelhead in a hatchery. Damn.

I haven't had many issues, but I'm not a fan of our latest software update either. Things used to be so simple before. Now you have to be a software genius just to do something out of the ordinary.

Just WOW is all I can say about this thread. So happy that I live and fish where I do. I've never paid a dime to launch. I've never waited a minute for the launch to be free. I rarely see another boat within a mile or two when I'm fishing. If I had to deal with any of these issues I might just pack it all in.

I'm not a big fan of Chinooks being transplanted into the Great Lakes in the first place. Go to the Pacific Ocean if you want to catch one. Kill them all I say. But there's an annual thread on here that says you have to line them, or snag them once the enter the rivers. Not so up here. The locals catch tons of them trolling or hot shotting with big ugly crankbaits every day in the fall. I'm talking about dragging your ugly crankbait upstream so the fish have to attack it. The river fish bite up here. I'm not so sure why they don't down there.

The Lindner bros have this down to an exact science. I learned a whole lot about this from them 30 years ago. Nothing has changed since. I believe that this info is on the internet. Somewhere.

Nice pics Brian. But for the life of me, I just can't picture myself fishing with a condo in the background. Maybe I'm spoiled.

Your hate for the Leafs goes a little beyond rediculous. Most of us are just trying to have a little fun with this. Being a sports fan just gives most of us an out for the everyday pressures of life.
