a question for woodstove/ fireplace owners, NF Part two
danc replied to Beans's topic in General Discussion
I am WETT certified. Like most things, it's a pretty easy course. I'm not sure what the course costs because my company paid for it. But why not take the course, certify your own system, and then go out and make some fishing tackle money on the side with it? Just a thought... -
Way to ruin the end of the story Art.

That's 3 times now this pre season that I've seen Kessel use his stick as a weapon. He can't keep doing that.

I've seen the "you must max out your motor or you'll be sorry" thing on here at least a million times. Unless you're a tourney guy where getting from point A to point B is critical, I disagree. I often fish with, or travel with 3 guys and gear in my rig and I get the same power up and top end speed as I do with only me in the boat. So I just don't get it either.

Nice work Ben.
-
There is no trolling motor, electronics, or closest marina. So 6 grand it is.
-
I'll just tell him that I own the back half. The half with the motor on it.

Nice. That one your Dad is holding is a brute!!

I should clarify something about this situation. I do know a little bit about the history of this package including it's performance level and maintainance records because I am a co owner of it and have been since it was bought new in 01. I am simply trying to buy my partner out and want to know what a reasonable offer will be. I have that info now, thanks to you guys. I think I'll low ball him and tell him that you guys said it was worth 6 grand. Whatever it's worth I'll only be paying half, since I already own the other half. Wish me luck.

I only ever heard of a couple of the Leafs players on the ice tonight ever before. But the Sens apparently had their reg season power play lineup on the ice tonight? Where was Alphie? Oooops. I forgot. He bailed when he had the chance, in a heartbeat...

That's more good news. Actually the 2001 Merc is a Yahama. And the 60 hp is perfect for me. Thanks for you input Rizzo.
-
That's more like what I wanted to hear. Anyone else?? What do you base this on Trevy?
-
Thanks Jack, but that's a little more boat than the one I'm inquiring about. This one is rated for 90 hp max.

Need some help on pricing on a used boat guys. It's a 2001 Lund Pro Sport, 60 hp Merc 4 stroke. EZ Loader galvanized trailer with new spare tire. Custom cover about 6 or 7 years old. No real extras included. It's in excellent mechanical shape. Visually it has some paint scratches and such. What would you pay for this rig??

Looks like a fun day for the Rice Bros. I enjoyed that Rob.

Bill. Those black flies were so bad when I bumped into you. I wouldn't have spent any more time if I had met Jennifer Aniston up there that day than I did with you.

By Mickey Gilleys standards, the meaning of this phrase is obvious. But to a Brook Trout fisherman, closing time is the last few days of the open season, when both males and females look their best. Males are the real trophys at this time of year with their deep orange polka dotted flanks, hooked jaws, and humped backs, but they were few and far between for my Buds and I this time. So we had to put up with the girls. They too color up nicely in the fall as they look for a mate to spawn. It was far from our best closure in recent years, but despite the high winds and occasional down pour, we did ok while tenting in the middle of Heaven. We had to work hard for our 20 or so fish that we caught over 3 days. Not a lot of pics, but these are the best. We did get a couple of nice males. Lousy shot in the low light, but this was the nicest. Can't wait until May..

They come and go. Some summers are worse than others. It's never been a big deal for me.

This is a timely topic for me. I've been setting up for my job at the Dorion fish hatchery the past few days and while waiting outside the managers office this morning, I heard him talking about Auroras on the telephone. Wow I thought. Auroras up here? After he got off the phone he told me that they are importing Auroras to raise at the hatchery and then sending them off to Guelph, I believe. I didn't get into fish ages and whatnot, but I will! During our brief conversation on this topic it was clear that I knew more about Auroras than he did. He has kinda taken me under his wing at the hatchery because he knows that I am so into Trout and Trout fishing. It should be a fun next 3 or 4 months.

Welcome Skunk. -
Nice pics and report. Just one thing though. I'm a smoker too but you'll never see me holding a fish with a butt hanging out of my mouth. It's just not right for some reason.

Yet another thread where it's safe to say that everyone who wantet to, got their 2 cents in.

Beauties. I'm hoping to get out the last 3 or 4 days of the season.
