  9. Holy Mackinaw!!! Congratulations to you and Sugarpacket, Rich. You've been a busy boy!! And Sugarpacket was fishing right up till the end, a real trooper you've got there. As others have said, life will now take on a new meaning and be the best years of your life. Enjoy them, 'cause they will go by fast now
  10. Way to go Luigi!! Can't wait to see the pic of that 4 Lb. bucketmouth!
  11. Hey Evster, glad to see you're out there practicing already!! The knobby thing should be adjusted so that when you open the bail, the plug just starts to move with a little coaxing. It sounds like you've got it way too loose. I would also start with the magnets dialed up fairly high until you get used to it. As someone else suggested, you may want to start by throwing it sidearm until you build up your confidence. One thing I didn't mention yesterday was that the biggest way you will get into trouble with backlashes (professional over runs) is when you try to force it by trying to cast too hard. Nice and easy does it. Good Luck and it was great meeting you.
  12. Its sounds like you were alone. If so, that is an amazing feat FnD!! Great story and what a PIG!! Thanks for sharing.
  13. So sorry to hear of such a huge loss Cliff. It sounds like you had a great relationship. Be comforted in the knowledge of what a priviledge it was to know him and may his memories comfort you going forward. My prayers are with your wife, and you on that last fishing trip. My next fish will be for Herb and I will pause for the loss of your fishing buddy. Take care my friend.
