  1. Thank you so much, that really does help!
  2. For the last couple of years I have been downloading tv shows that we want to watch, we just find it more convenient to be able to watch things when WE want to watch them. Lately though I have been getting emails from our ISP about they have been advised that our IP has been associated with the sharing of copy write materials Bla Bla Bla! Is this something I need to worry about? Should I be using an IP blocker? If so, which one and how does do I do it? We aren't trying to do anything illegal, we just want to watch things at our convenience. We are also thinking of getting a TV box when we move. Can anyone give me an idea of : what is a reasonable price, what ones work the best, are they any good? Sorry to have to keep relying on you all but when I need help you are always the best source! Old Big Cliff.
  3. No, I trapped a chipmunk put him a cage, costs me a fortune in peanuts but what the heck. Got PS and his lovely bride on the way, Lancaster ice teas, Billy Bob's Shrimp at the ready, and a couple of the nicest steaks I could find just starting to come up to room temperature. Really wish you and your lovely bride were her with all of us. Once we get everything settled the plan is to get the six of us together.
  4. Heck I can solve that problem for you in in a matter of an hour or two with nothing more than a glass and some ice
  5. Thank you!
  6. Ah, now there is one more thing I have to add to my list! And all this time I thought it was the"well never mind" that made me sleepy.
  7. Canada and the US have a lot in common, we call it democracy but it's really just a dictatorship with many heads. We are told that we get to elect the people we want to represent us but in truth the biggest/best liar is the person that gets elected. Once in office they have it made, they do what they want for the next 4 years with little or no accountability and then the whole process starts all over again.
  8. Most of the corn fields that I see are way behind where they should be for this time of year. By now I am usually harvesting sucker ears to pickle, this year is at least two weeks behind normal in our area.
  9. So is there any advantage to me running Never10 ? (I'm still on Vista and couldn't upgrade if I wanted to)
  10. Well I might die of cancer but boy I should be smart!
  11. Hey, it can't be all bad! Survival of the Fittest Brain Cells A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo, and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back of the herd that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole herd is maintained or even improved by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can operate only as fast as the slowest brain cells through which the electrical signals pass. Recent emiological studies have shown that while excessive intake of alcohol kills off brain cells, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. Thus, regular consumption of spirits helps eliminate the weaker cells, constantly making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. The result of this in-depth study verifies and validates the causal link between all-weekend parties and job-related performance. It also explains why, after a few short years of completing university studies and then getting married and settling down, most professionals cannot keep up with the performance of the new graduates. Only those few that stick to the strict regimen of voracious alcoholic consumption can maintain the intellectual levels that they achieved during their university years. So, this is a call to arms. As our country is losing its technological edge we should not shudder in our homes. But get back into the bars and pubs and quaff that pint! Your company and your country needs you to be at your peak, and at your best, and you shouldn't deny yourself the career opportunities that you could achieve through excessive alcohol consumption. Take life by the bottle and be all that you can be! And remember a good cold beer will kill those bad, useless brain cells that are slowing you down and it will make the necessary room needed to get the good brain cells up front and at the top ready to perform at their best. So bottoms up, down the hatch, look out brain it's coming fast!
  12. I'm still running Vista, changed browsers from IE to Firefox, it is taking a bit of getting use to but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'll go to Windows 10 when I have no other choice. Thanks for the heads up I'll be watching my updates more closely from now on.
  13. Depth Finder? Just use the skeg on your motor, if it ain't bouncing off rocks or dragging in the mud you're deep enough! In all seriousness; I think if you are prone to the big C you are going to get it regardless and if you aren't then you won't. I know countless people that have spent their lives out in the sun, farmers, bush workers, that never used a drop of sun screen or special clothing, many are as old as or older than I am. I've also watched little kids that never spent a day out in the sun, smoked, or drank suffer through that hell. It always breaks my heart!
  14. What a beautiful read! It will be whatever you make it out to be but from what I've heard and seen you will do amazing! Now quit playing and get to work LOL.
  15. Oh, and Capt. Bob's shrimp is on the menu too!
  16. Geeze guys I am not very good at protecting myself from the sun. Use to burn so badly when I was a kid that I would blister. I guess I've been lucky so far, I still don't use sun screen, I go around without a shirt on most of the time (Sue won't let me wear my speedo outside anymore so I do wear shorts. Guess it must be my ancestry eh Simon?
  17. And everyone can legally grow tomatoes but not everyone does. Apart from the odd vandle I don't know of many people running around stealing tomatoes from peoples yards though!
  18. Learn something new every day, thanks! Could you post name of business and address for me please, (also phone # just in case) looks like I will see you next Friday. 19. The City of Richmond Hill isn't much better than the City of Kawartha Mistakes! They do everything they can to kill development because of the "Old Boys Club"! If it aint in their pockets, it shouldn't happen.
  20. IMHO a rib eye is going to be the best steak you can get for flavor, tenderness, and quality. I have had many other cuts, some excellent, but a rib eye for me anyway is king!
  21. well, if I could sign again I would!
  22. Lack of proper prep Norm. Done properly it shouldn't move. I wouldn't be sealing mine either.
  23. Ok got to try those next trip. Got some special friends coming for a visit July 23, Steaks were already on the menu now I'm going to add some of those cinnamon buns to go with breakfast the next morning! Thanks!
  24. I found a place called The Trading Post on Simco St. just North of Port Perry. All of their beef is aged a minimum of 28 days and boy is it good! Prices are as good or better than local butcher shops (Rib Eyes typically $11.99 a lb). They will vacuum pack roasts, steaks, they even vacuum pack my bacon for me in 1/2 lb packs all at no extra charge. I have been making my own bacon for about two years now, theirs is just as good or better and @ $3.99 a lb and vacpacked 7 slices to the package, well I can't even buy the pork bellies for that price. I have even been buying my salmon from them when I want to make smoked salmon. Fresh Atlantic salmon typically $6.99/lb. Cure, smoke, eat and it's as good as or better than the $19.00/ little package that you buy in the stores.
  25. Sorry about that I guess I must have a filter or something, I had no problem with it?
