  1. X 2 on that one! The ticket will be dated and the time will be marked on it. The receipt will be dated and the time marked on it. You can go in at your conveinence!
  2. Oh the shame of it Billy Bob, to have an old Canuk who knows nothing about NFL keep ahead of you for the entire season. How you ever going to live this down? I think you should just go hang your head in shame my friend and perhaps pour yourself a couple of those Lancaster ice teas so you can drown your sorrows.
  3. Oh I love to see you squirm
  4. You know my friend, you are at a real disadvantage here; If I was to pick NY, win or loose, I still beat you by one point. If you pick NE win or loose I still beat you by one point. Your only hope is that I stick with NE and NY does win. I do still have time to change my mind you know LOL.
  5. You could try Lunge Haven on Sturgeon Lake if you are interested, Really good people, well protected from the wind, good fishing within a few minutes boat ride. Rates $23.00/foot for the season. Tel. (705) 324-6610
  6. Regardless my friend this has been a blast and you have to admit that no matter what the outcome of the final game I have given you a real good run for your money!!!!!
  7. That's a big IF there my friend and regardless, you've been eating my dust through the whole season I still feel pretty good about that!!!!! Anyway, when NE wins you'll be 17 points behind me and IF NY was to get lucky and win you'll have only beaten this old Canuk by one game. That won't be much to brag about considering when this pool started I didn't even know who the teams were never mind any of the players or stats.
  8. Pats 21-14 and I cream Billy Bob in the football pool. Oh wait, I'm already doing that
  9. Environment Canada has issued a travel warning due to the freezing rain and cold weather to follow. They suggest that anyone traveling in the current icy conditions should make sure they have the following: Shovel Blankets or sleeping bag Extra clothing including hat and gloves 24 hours worth of food De-Icer Rock Salt Flashlight with spare batteries Road Flares or Reflective Triangles Empty gas Can First Aid Kit Booster cables I looked like a real idiot on the bus this morning!
  10. Well, since they are located in Wasaga Beach it would probably be safe to assume that you'd be fishing Georgan Bay.
  11. Now that was smart! Thanks for posting it!
  12. It is so nice to see someone working so hard to get kids and families out fishing, good on you my friend!
  13. Yes, please do post a picture or two, sounds like something I'd like to build.
  14. I am so very sorry to hear this, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
  15. I bought a Princecraft 164 WS two years ago and love it. Same width, a bit longer (4") but about 25% heaver. It does have the flip up seats, and room for the front pedistal if you want it. I have a 60 Merc on mine and it will get up and cruse at about 34 mph with no problems. As far as being good on gas, I thought my gas gauge was broken when I first got it, I just kept going and going and the gas gauge hardly moved. I finally went in to fill it up because I thought it must be close to empty, took $20.00 to fill it. Now, if I was buying another new one I might go for the bigger engine, If I have 4 adults in mine with our gear and everyone behind the windshield, it can be a little slow to get up on plane with only the 60. For everyday use and for my needs, the 60 is perfect and super quiet! Personally, I'd go with the Princecraft. Whatever you decide you are going to end up going " well if I was to do it again" LOL.
  16. Time for a group hug me thinks!
  17. I'd be emailing that picture to KFCs head office! Might get KFC for life out of it!
  18. All we need to do is start posting some good recipies for cormorant. You'd be surprised at how quickly they will start getting thinned out
  19. Well, I think it is absolutly wonderful and you have done a fantastic job of desigining and building it. I have had many wonderful ice fishing trips but one that I remember most was an ice challet up on Nippissing. It was -40 out side and I was sitting inside in a t-shirt, in front of a nice fire place, enjoying a hot meal and catching fish. Good on you for having a dream and doing something about it
  20. Up until a few years ago we only ever saw the odd one here on Sturgeon Lake, this year we saw hundreds. They have already pretty much destroyed one small island, the trees are all white and stripped of folage. I was at a meeting last fall with Kawartha Conservation and MNR and asked what was being done about it, the reply was the standard "we're looking into it". When I asked if they were considered an invasive species I was told they were. When I asked about round gobies (also an invasive species) and what I should do if I caught one I was told I should kill it. I then asked if I should kill cormorants too and I was told they were protected and if I was caught killing them I would be charged. Where is the logic in all of this? I asked that question too but they couldn't answer that.
  21. They don't seem to service the Kawarthas Gerritt.
  22. I'm with British Empire my last fill up which was Dec. 30 was at $0.689/L. Price seems to fluctuate up and down with every fill up. Give me an idea of when your last fill up was and I'll compair my price for the same time frame. Service has been ok, I have been with them for a few years now.
  23. Probably not a good spot to go scuba diving at that point
  24. Don't go venturing out on the lakes just because we have 7-8" where we were. There were still some open spots on Sturgeon lake as late as last Friday. We were in the Goose Bay area which tends to freeze up a bit earlier than the main body of the lake. BE SAFE!
  25. I can remember when it was about $35.00/oz back in 1965. It has almost trippled in value in the last five or six years.
