  1. That's the way I make mine but I leave out the first 8 ingredients and tripple the bourbon. Saves a lot of trips to the fridge especially if you serve it in a beer mug
  2. There is ethanol in many of the premium gases now too. If the manufacturer's reccomendations are to use regular gas, then do it, engines are desigined to burn a perticular grade of gas and you'll get better engine life by using the right grade. Regardless of what gas you use, stabilizer is the way to go and when storing it for the summer, do not run it dry! Am I a pro? No but I am a small engine mechanic and most of the problems I see could have been avoided by using stabilizer, a good quality oil and the proper grade of gas.
  3. I've made that one before and you are right, it is good!
  4. And we are making the Capt. Bob shrimp part of ours LOL.
  5. I have only a blured recolection of that evening!!!!!
  6. Oh Bruce, I am so, so sorry to hear this, I truly understand your pain and your loss. Only a dog; anyone that would think that has never known or felt the unconditional love that they bring into our lives, they have no idea what they are missing. Bruce I know how much Peanut ment to you as our beloved Andy did to us. They are not a dog, they are part of our family and our lives. Some will never understand but those of us who have loved and been loved by them do! Keep strong my friend, There is a hole in your heart for a reason, it is the very best place to bury someone so special!
  7. Well Capt. Bob, you should be posting your Capt. Bob's shrimp recipe here too! The best shrimp I have ever had Oh and a warning to all others, if Billy Bob offers you a Lancaster Ice Tea; be forwarned, they really sneak up on you and you better not plan on driving (or even walking too far) after consuming a couple of those!
  8. Sounds just like my house, I'm laughing so hard there are tears running down my face. This little beagle pup of ours is so full of fun and mischief it sounds just like a normal day around here. Thanks for the laugh.
  9. Well, there isn't a spec of ice here on Sturgeon Lake today, that rain and + 10 yesterday did in what little there was. Long range forecast still calling for above normal temps for the next two weeks. Looks like this is going to be a short season for ice fishing!
  10. How is Peanut doing today Bruce? I wonder if the other dog owners insurance will cover this or will this be out of their pocket? I can see this costing a bundle!
  11. Well, I don't need a fishing license anymore but I guess I still need the outdoor card if I want to continue hunting! I just checked and my card is good until 2013 so I guess I don't have to worry about it for a while.
  12. Sorry, I just checked and Sue had given the ones I had to the library for their book sale. I guess she figured I already knew everything LOL.
  13. I'll take a look tomorrow, I use to have quite a collection but I'm not sure if Sue sent them to the Library or not for their book sale. If I still have them you'd be welcome to them. There was everything there from how to make your own lures to how to make a shore lunch and tips and tricks to catching just about everything that swims. I'll let you know tomorrow.
  14. Cliff, thank you so much for posting these again, I can't tell you how many times Sue and I played them last Christmas, you sure do beautiful work! Since you are looking for suggestions, might I suggest; White Christmas
  15. Too bad you don't live in Lindsay, I happen to know a VERY good and honest mechanic here!
  16. Cliff, that was absolutly beautiful!!!!! Ask Sydney if she'll let you do a video of her singing it for Sue and Cliff, we'd love to have it. We are so very proud of her. BTW, could you post a link to some of the Christmas ones you did in the past, we loved listening to them but when our computer crashed last year I lost all the links.
  17. my wife took her car in to CTC once, they told her it needed all sorts of stuff and it wasn't safe to drive. I called the service manager back and told him to go ahead with the repairs but I wanted ALL the used parts because I was going to go after someone. All of a sudden the car was safe to drive and the repairs were "only reccomended" repairs, not actually necessary ones. I had the car checked out by our mechanic the next day and none of the repairs they had told my wife needed to be done were necessary. I had an engine rebuilt one time by CTC. On top of everything else they told me I needed my rad replaced but they could put a recored one in for me which they did. Two weeks later I took the car back because the rad was leaking and the engine was making strange noises. They rebuilt the engine again (this time under warranty) and installed a NEW rad and charged me for it because they said my rad was shot. Should have seen the look on their faces when I produced the recipt for the re built rad they had just put in two weeks before and refused to pay for the new one. I wouldn't take a car to CTC ever again.
  18. last couple of years we were ice fishing here on Sturgeon lake on New Years day. The long range forecast is calling for above normal temperatures for the next two weeks, + 10 for tomorrow and nights not getting nearly as cold as normal. I very much doubt we'll be ice fishing out here by the first. There is a bit of ice shards in the bay infront of our place but it isn't solid enough to walk on. Good luck with your Nip Trip!
  19. I think it is wonderful that you can look at so many things and know that he contributed to their creation. Forever in your heart Lew!
  20. Solution is simple! For your next aniversary take her to Italy. For your 50th go and bring her back. Guaranteed to work for you!
  21. Sorry to disagree but I think it is the owners that need the bullet, that dog should never have been allowed to run loose. Bruce, really glad to hear that Peanut is going to be ok. We had one of our dogs attacked by two shepards once, she was never the same again and ended up having to be put down about two years later because she developed problems with her spine.
  22. Sorry to hear that Bruce, I too hope Peanut comes out of this ok. As others have said get the police involved or you could get stuck with the vet bills.
  23. :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:
  24. Trust me, from the sound of it you have done everything just fine and you shouldn't have any problems in the spring. Removing the wheels isn't really necessary. If you have jacked it up, you have taken all the load off the tires. They won't suffer any more damage than if you had taken them off and put them in the garage. Now relax, and quit worrying, you have already done a lot more than most and everything I would do if it was mine!
