  1. I'm lucky!!!! During our open water season it doesn't get dark!!!! June, July and August there are no lights needed!! Well atleast not until the very end.
  2. This ones a classic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niB1IXVVwdI...feature=related
  3. Simms gives you one free repair. This looks like you have had sand in your boots. When you get your waders back make sure that your gravel guards are propery attached. And wash your boots and booties after use.
  4. There's an auger in this picture? Where? I don't see it.
  5. It ain't broked in until it's been stomped into the mud a time or two!!!
  6. I have one, but have not used it yet. And probably won't as I just ordered a Frabil Recon from Wholesale Sports(Canadian) on sale for $160 plus only $12 shipping. When it arrives I will return the Polar Express. I took it out of the carrier once to look it over and now I have a split seam on the carrier. The cover material is only light nylon as well. You get what you pay for. For $55 more I'll take the Frabil.
  7. If your sled won't pull it I'll take it off you cause mine will pull it right purdy like!!
  8. Nice temps, I would feel right at home!! She was a tad frosty here this weekend too.
  9. Where do Grouse get thier little tiny snowshoes from???
  10. Cheaper to get 'em where you gits yer striper (not stripper) bait.
  11. No Mikey, that's Joe's plate!!!
  12. I have had the same plate in Ontario and now the North West Territories..........................IANGLE
  13. I used to have one of that vintage (one version older I think), I used it once then pitched it!!! What a piece of junk!!! Crappy Resolution, kept cutting out and the fish looked like building blocks. Since then I want nothing to do with thier product. It's a shame as the new units look quite capable, it's just I have zero confidence in their products. It just proves, at least to me that First Impressions are Everything!! If you are looking for an ice fishing machine pick up a flasher (either a portable or make a portable mount for it) Here's a pic of mine. It's a Lowrance 2460 with portable cas and ice adapter. The portable case has been altered to fit a 12 volt sealed lead acid rechargable battery instead of 2 six volt lantern batteries. I have been using this flasher for 15 years now. With a little internet sluthing they can be had used for about the same price (without portable base). A portable base is easily made and can be made in a couple of hours. Here's a couple of pics of the portable mount I made for my Lowrance LMS 350 so I could use it while guiding on Great Bear Lake. I have been using this since 1995.
  14. He did do a Nunavut snowmobile breakdown show that was pretty good even if it was filmed in April or May. A January or February episode on the barrens would be nice to see, be hard to keep the cameras working though.
  15. I either use a front access chest pack or when going light I just use the pocket on my G3's and the pockets in my wading jacket.
  16. I could probably sell a bunch of them up here at that price. Make sure they have replaceable UMHW Poly runners so the sled does not wear out due to ashphalt, gravel, rocks etc.
  17. If the North Americans would stop building junk vehicles that last like the imports, get fuel mileage like the imports, were as nice to drive as the imports, Maybe, just maybe they would sell more vehicles. I have owned Chevy's, Ford's and Chryslers as well as Honda's and my Honda's have all been much better vehicles than the American's. And guess what They are built in Canada by Canadians!!!!!!
  18. HOOKERS AND A COUPLE OF BOTTLES OF CUERVO!!!!!!
  19. Davey wants a new ice hut!!!
  20. I've made a couple here and there too. I'm not exactly in Ontario any more though.
  21. Lots of reviews and opinions on Arctic Armour gear on Ice Shanty.
