  1. Mine has a GO, NOGO guage on it as I'm sure they all do. If the guage is green you're good if it's red your not. They also have a manual inflation valve.
  2. Don't forget protection!!! Prostitution's legal there.
  3. You probably saw the manual deployment models. They require you to pull a tab to inflate. I paid about $90 for my manual vest. The fully auto vests are $150 and up. So yeah it's a smokin' deal.
  4. DING, DING, DING, We have a winner!!!!!! The drag surface in a rear drag reel is quite a lot smaller than what you can get in a front drag reel. Thus they are much smoother and don't overheat when fighting big powerful fish.
  5. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM........................Never thought of that.
  6. I would really like to see Martin pull of the win myself. But if he can't do it then I'll settle for Litte E.
  7. Here's your chance to get an Inflatable PFD for a price too good to pass up. Now there's no excuse to not wear one!!!! Life Vest Deal
  8. Activists Missing After Declaring “War on Leather” at Motorcycle Rally Johnstown, PA (GlossyNews) – Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers “duct taped inside several fast food restaurant dumpsters,” according to police officials. “Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.” The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activist groups, “growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats,” decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event “in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.” “In fact,” said the organizer, “motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it…ergo, they should stop.” According to witnesses, protesters arrived at the event in a vintage 1960’s era Volkswagen van and began to pelt the gang members with balloons filled with red colored water, simulating blood, and shouting “you’re murderers” to passers by. This, evidently, is when the brouhaha began. “They peed on me!!!” charged one activist. “They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me ‘La Trene’, and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!” “I…I was trying to show my outrage at a man with a heavy leather jacket, and he…he didn’t even care. I called him a murderer, and all he said was, ‘You can’t prove that.’ Next thing I know he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and would not let me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman.” Still others claimed they were forced to eat hamburgers and hot dogs under duress. Those who resisted were allegedly held down while several bikers “farted on their heads.” Police officials declined comments on any leads or arrests due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, however, organizers for the motorcycle club rally expressed “surprise” at the allegations. “That’s preposterous,” said one high-ranking member of the biker organizing committee. “We were having a party, and these people showed up and were very rude to us. They threw things at us, called us names, and tried to ruin the entire event. So, what did we do? We invited them to the party! What could be more friendly than that? You know, just because we are all members of motorcycle clubs does not mean we do not care about inclusiveness. Personally, I think it shows a lack of character for them to be saying such nasty things about us after we bent over backwards to make them feel welcome.” When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activists meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret handshake,” assured the organizer.
  9. Champane kisses and caviar dreams, it's what all the well to do esox anglers are using. I suppose you use those peasant jigs? Hmmmmph........................ :walks away with nose in the air:
  10. Cast and Crank Left. Baseball was tough for me too as I caught and threw with my left as well.
  11. I am also a Lefty. There are a lot more lefty baitcasters now than there used to be. Back in the 80's you could almost count the number available on one hand. Today it seems that most of the manufacturers are producing several left handed models.
  12. Same with the Bowie knife fer cuttin' yer bait.
  13. Good for you, keep it up!!!! I have been smoke free for 4036 days now and have not smoked more than 100,000 butts!!!!! I don't know what that comes out to money wise but it is probably enough to buy a good new car!!!! I know up here the cost of smokes is insane!!! At $15 a pack it would save me $61,000 over that time!!!!
  14. Yes. If he's going to do it right they are required and should be aluminum and glued & rivetted to the hull. They should also be tied into the structure for the side bunks and sides of the hull as well.
  15. Not dangerous if done correctly. The DLX will have foam under the floor and in the side pods. Remember don't foam down the center so that water can still make it to the transom. And as said Never Ever use pressure treated wood for this.
  16. Very easy to do. 1/ lower tongue jack as far as it will go. 2/ put axle stands under the back of the trailer frame. 3/ jack up tongue jack until wheels are off the ground. A version of this works well if you have to replace or work on your bunks too. 1/ lower tounge jack 2/ place axle stands under back corners of boat hull (use a pair of 2X8 pieces to spread the load and protect the hull) 3/ jack up tongue 4/ block up hull forward 5/ lower tongue Hull should now be floating above the trailer.
  17. I shave dry with a Bowie knife. Fancy shavers are for Nancy Boys!!!!!!
  18. Also moving the boat back is not the way to go. If you wove it back there will be a section that is no longer supported by the bunks. This will cause what is know as a hook(a section that is bent/curved up in front of the transom) in the hull which causes handling problems. The best thing to do is move the axle.
  19. You bet!!!! Won't be long now. I've got some vacation time booked for the end of March beginning of April. A buddy and I are heading to the East arm of Great Slave to try and ice some giant Lakers. My buddy has one of these for us to hold up in when we're not fishing. We will probably spend a week or so exploring out there and then hit some other big trout lakes when we get bored.
  20. Since November we have been in -25ish highs. Most times colder a few times warmer. Currently a balmy -33.
  21. -31 right now in Yellowknife -36 windchill. Too cold for me to go out ice fishing. Could be worse though, it was -49 with no wind before Christmas. I usually don't head out when it's colder than -25. Guess I'm a wuss. I am getting a little ice fishing fix watching Bob Izumi catching bows and brookies through the ice.
