I got a chance to stay on Lake Champlain for a week with my family and some friends. I didn't take my boat so we fished from shore with my kids. I rarely got a chance to fish as I was busy putting on worms and removing the fish from the hooks. I was really impressed with this lake. We caught so many fish and very nice sized panfish from the dock. Every evening we would get into some nice sized bass which was pretty fun for the kids before we got chased of the lake by the mosquitos. The kids had a great time and so did I . I did catch my first ever chain pickerel, which was pretty cool. I think this is a hybrid bluegill/pumpkinseed sunfish White perch Chain Pickerel

Akrisoner It does with my son. He gets so excited when we see the bobber go down. I don't have time to use my rod. He takes all my attention.

Don't take your rod. Just help him fish.

I had to take advantage of the awesome cool weather yesterday. Took my little guy fishing by the park right by our house. We were fishing with worms on bobbers. He got 4 largemouth and he caught his biggest ever largemouth. We got a ton of bluegill too, but they were not as fun as the largies! He was so excited and there were lots of screams of excitement! He was telling everybody that he was a bass master.
