My shimano saros 2500 has started seizing up. I'm not sure what the problem is. I had this happen with a Diawa Lexa last year too. I tried using some reel oil and it helped a little bit but I'm still having issues with it. Any one experience this issue, how did you fix it? Thanks.

I remember it very well. It was really scary to experience as a 10 year old!

I took my son out fishing this morning with the rain and cooler temps, and I figured It would turn the fish on and I was right. He caught eight bass with two of them being really nice! All the fish were caught on a light action St Croix rod with 6lb line, a night crawler, small float and hook. We let them all go after quick pics. He really had a hard time holding the fish up for the pictures.

Thanks for the replies everyone. We had a blast! Some great memories for sure. Ironmaker I live 30 minutes away from Ardmore PA. We have lived here for about 6 years. It is a nice area and you're right about Philly fans they are passionate about their teams here.

The kids and I have been out fishing a few times this spring and we have done pretty well. My son and I went Shad fishing on the Susquehanna River about 3 weeks ago and we caught over 24 fish (both american and hickory shad.) I let my son reel in every fish and he had so much fun. We were literally catching fish every cast for about 15 casts and it was amazing. We were just using a 1.5" white twistertail. My son was so very excited with every fish! We are also very fortunate to live 5 minutes away from a state park with a some decent bass and bluegill fishing. We have caught several nice largemouth in the past two weeks. My daughter caught two big fish and were caught on back to back casts. I hear her scream that she has a big fish. I go over to help her and we land the fish, take a quick pic and let it go. THen I go help my son with a bluegill. I hear my daughter scream again that she has another big fish, so I run over and its an even bigger bass. We land it and take a quick pic and let it go. She landed both big fish on a 5 foot ultralight ugly stick rod with 6lb line and a small piece of a worm. It is a catch and release pond and there are is no closed season here for bass. Big bass 1 Big bass # 2, caught on the very next cast. All on night crawlers.

Very sad news. I remember the first time I stayed there with my wife in 2004. We were newly weds and Kevin and Leslie were kind hosts. My condolences to his family and all his OFC friends.

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania in 3000sqft house. We set the heat to 65f(18.33c) during the daytime and 63f(17.25c) during the night and 60f(15c) when we are not at home. We do budget billing and pay $100USD for gas and $125USD for electric and $30 for water. We have 3 little kids and are constantly running the washer and dryer at all times.

Howdy All I'm planning my annual family trip up to Canada for the summer with the family (three kids ages 7,5 and 2.5). Was considering glen Echo. How is it as a family resort? Is it quite? How is the fishing? Never been to that part of Nipissing, are there sheltered areas to fish if it's too rough? Is there enough fish to keep the kids happy ( can be any fish species) Any other thoughts on the area, or resort? Thanks.
