Probably gave the counter staff the "Cornwallis glare" , Followed by something like " fix it before I have to educate you"
Your mug does remind me of a few crusty DI's I've known
Because many stores are franchises, each individual owner can treat their customers as they please. I must admit, since the Grimsby store underwent major upgrades, that customer service has improved somewhat.
Of course, the bigger the client base, the more you can get away with. I've seen the same unequal servise levels at Home Hardwares. Kala's will bend over backwards to help. Other Niagara area franchises aren't worth walking in the door.
Such a good story to read. I am ever so thankful for the good people who make these organizations so successful and put a ray of hope and happiness in our lives. 18 years back, it was the Sunshine Foundation that gave my daughter the royal treatment after major life saving surgeries through Shriner's Hospital in Erie.
I am also glad to hear your son is on the road to recovery.
Today was the follow up with the surgeon.
The wife is healing pretty well so far for 2 weeks post-op. They removed all the cancerous material in the breast, but the mass was larger than first anticipated.
The bad news is that the cancer is an aggressive, fast growing strain and is at stage 3. Next step the oncology dept at the Juravinski Cancer hospital for further treatment options.
Going through customs once and declaring is one thing. It's the second crossing with goods that will be problematic. You are far better off have the lobster shipped fresh to arrive at your home the day after you are home.
I grew up without electronics, and still have only limited use for them. I do admit they are a great resource for unravelling the secrets of a new body of water.
There is always a rod or two in the van along with tackle, nets , bucket, chair, coleman, raincoat, spare clothes, etc.... Never know where I end up at the drop of a hat.
Only once, in all my years of fishing, have I had a rod bust because of a fish ( It pretty much exploded) I still have the first glass rod I ever owned, and bring it out to play once or twice a year. I have broken a few rod tips from carelessness
Dry kibble as a base, supplemented with veggies, fresh caught FISH, and small amounts of meat, cooked and raw. Stay away from any breadstuffs. Don't underestimate the importance of exercise and activity. Lucky lived to be 17. Casey is now 18 months. He has a good solid 3-5 hours of activity every day
I have ever refused to see cancer as some unbeatable evil. It's just another obstacle to overcome. As for Judy, I don't think she is that strong right now. I won't tell her about Jen til later.
I was hoping you would be posting more of Jen's exploits. Sorry to hear Ewings came back hard at Jen like that. Auntie Ruth fought the brain tumours, tooth and nail, for 8 years.
I sometimes envy you fellas. I didn't have a dad, but I had uncles who more than made up for it.
I just hope my son has lots of fond memories of me as years go by.
