  1. There should only be four nuts holding on that lower unit. Sounds like the splines on the driveshaft aren't coming apart, a good rubber mallet should do the trick. Be sure to replace all the nylon lock nuts as they are a one time deal only. www.iboats.com is another good site for outboard repair help.
  2. Nice report and pictures! I don't think that entry will be allowed in the tournament though, isn't ZEC in the province of Quebec?
  3. It is a friends cottage not a resort. Usually I do the camping/tent thing on the 2-4 weekend, if the forecast is right, I will be glad I am cottaging this year.
  4. Thank you very much! From what I gather I will be staying almost directly across from the launch. A short boat ride but a long car ride.
  5. Can anybody tell me if there is a public launch on Mill Lake just outside of Parry Sound? Heading up for the long weekend and have never fished it before, any tips would be great also, but not necessary. Thanks.
  6. Where are you staying? If targeting walleye it could be a tough go, definitely a hit or miss lake. Try the far end east around the dam, the point leading into that channel/arm, there is a big bay on the northside try around the eastern entrance of that, there are shoals around the dead middle of the lake another spot (the tops these shoals usually are above water but with high water they maybe just under and unmarked be careful). The far west side/bay of the lake is weedy most of it 10-12ft of water another spot maybe worth trying. As far as lures and colours I would use all the usual suspects and colours, change up often till you find what's working. Worm harness, hard baits, suspending, jig, minnows, spinner etc. The only other advice I can give you is to do a search on this site and maybe a couple others. Oh and don't forget the bug jacket, blackflies will be out in full force!
  7. Is this the one? http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12721 Opps! Just realized the link is the same one as already posted!
  8. That is a total DISGRACE! Over-reacting? Hardly I would say, it is too bad that ALL Canadians don't have the same sense of pride as you do! That maybe just a flag (to some) but it also represents all the lives sacrificed to have the Canada that we have today! I would love to hear more than a "yes" opinion as too why any Canadian would feel that you are over-reacting!
  9. Hard to tell if you have them from the pictures, but if you don't, I would add side-marker lights on your trailer. Outside of that, you have a nice and practical fishing vessel there!
  10. What brand are you looking to buy? From what I have researched Legend seem to have the best pricing,(only Tracker and Legend have list prices) width and depth, thicker hulls, and highest recommend horsepowers then most other brands.(16ft and14ft wide/deep utilities) Now when it comes to quality I can't comment on that, but many others own Legends and seem to be very happy with them. Good luck with whatever you get! http://www.legendboats.com/
  11. This gives a good idea of what is invovled....http://www.idofishing.com/forum/showflat.p.../5/o/93/fpart/1
  12. The computer is the only difference in some hp ranges. Changes fuel, spark, timing, etc. settings. You can swap out the computer on a 50hp with one from a 60hp and your 50 becomes a 60. The only draw back is the computer is close to $1000!
  13. "Would you have an electrician rough in a bathroom drain system? " Probably not, but comparing apples to apples; would you have an electrician change a light bulb for you??? LOL I know what you are saying! I will agree with some that are saying go to a certified garage. Although not very hard to do, there is alot of little steps involved, such as cleaning and greasing slider pins, compressing calipers, making sure the master cylinder cap is off, checking all the rubber boots for tears/cracks, making sure calipers pistons are moving freely, securing pad clips properly, inspecting brake lines...etc. Once shown step by step and knowing what to look for this can be accomplished relatively easily and with 100% confidence that your brakes are in top working shape. "NOT" something to go out and just wing it on your own though! Maybe just me, but with the lack of competent mechanics (not all of them) and over-all customer care out there, I trust myself more than any service shop.
  14. My guess is that there is nothing wrong with either the tow vehicle or the trailer. My other guess would be that you were driving westbound into a pretty strong headwind!!! Correct??? If weren't driving into the wind then disregard this post..lol.
  15. Hey..... I thought it was against the law to display club colours!?!
  16. Turning Japanese- The Vapours .....now that was a blast from the past! LOL Thanks for posting, you guys are great! Do you do any Matthew Good, bet you guys would be excellent doing Born Losers.
  17. I think everyone on this board would "give" or "hand-out" when the situation calls for. I have seen it first hand time in and time out!
  18. Fish a rodder thru the pipe till it stops. If you have a general idea where the tank is located, mark the rodder where it stopped, then walk out the distance. To be more exact if you can get someone with a utility locator, fish a metal rodder thru, clip the transmiter to the rodder and tone out the line to the tank. I have a locator but live in Scarb. not sure were Mount Hope is so I know it is probably nowhere close to me or else i would drop by.
  19. I hear Orillia/Barrie area has something like 90cm (almost 3ft) of snow on the ground now and more coming. That is alot more water come spring or the next thaw, good on them for acting now before it is too late.
  20. Here's a link.... http://www.carraoutdoors.com/guides_outfitters.html From everything I have heard these guys are top notch!

  23. Oppps!!! I took another look and was looking at the red price not the final price in black your right same price $24 397. My bad!!!
  24. Actually Justin the price is not the same across the board, oddly enough??? List price for Toronto is $23 095 at BPS and couple other dealers.
