  1. "Looks more like chicken feet to me ... not pike leftovers " I was thinking the same thing, won't ducks feet be webbed?
  2. Watching it now, thanks for the heads-up.
  3. Wow, those are a couple nice sized bass for Drag. In my experience the average size I caught there were clones to the smaller ones. Good luck with the laker quest, I hear they can be found but are a tough bit. Go get them, thanks for sharing!
  4. I was at a friends cottage 2yrs. ago on that lake. It is littered with bass, no pickeral or pike that I am aware of though. It is a fairly small lake, I am not sure how deep it is, no finder. We were catching bass trolling Agilia/mepps spinners parallel to the shore about 40ft or so out. We would just circle the entire shoreline (1.5hrs to do it all) and every 5mins one of us would catch one, most were in the 1-2lbs range with the odd pushing 3lbs. There is a back bay off the one end of the lake, the area just before the mouth has lots of submerged boulders around it, good for fishing bad for props, in a canoe you should have no worries. Good luck.
  5. It should take you anywhere from 3.5-6.0 hrs depending on times you leave from Hamilton and back to home. The Tumblehouse Lodge supplies camp permits and would probably be the only ones on the lake to rent boats. (not sure if they even do).
  6. Canadian Tire sells replacement lines and tanks. West Marine should also carry them.
  7. Lovesick Lake would be a crown land option.
  8. You may also want to keep your eyes on Ebay, kijiji,Craigslists and all the other classified ads sites out there! I will be keeping my eyes open also.
  9. I have heard rumors of carp and pike being down there, never fished myself though.
  10. If you are not worried about the size, then hands down go here....http://www.halcom.ca/haliburton.php. It is Head Lake in Haliburton, you can almost guarantee yourself a smaller sized muskie. Lots of shoreline you can access, one of the best spots is right off the town dock. Not sure of any immediate camp grounds within the area though. Good luck on your quest!
  11. As long as it only effects the carp who really cares!
  12. No trick to viewing, just click the link. Pretty incredible that he wasn't killed, would've been one heck of a ride though!
  13. If you go to www.anglersatlas.com and register, they give you some lakes for free.
  14. I think he meant to say, How "old" is your son. I maybe wrong though.
  15. You got my vote, as of now you are in the top 7. I think they should have submitted your sunrise/sunset photo of "the Sleeping Giant", truly stunning! 18 000 submissions, I bet almost everyone of them are a wonder in there own right, we are blessed to live in such a beautiful country. Good luck, there will be no losers in this one!
  16. Cp24 is reporting a funnel clouds spotted on radar and confirmed by ground spotters , just north of London. Be careful out there!
  17. Mara and McRae P.P. have sites available still. Might be hard pressed to find crown land around those parts, others may chime in though.
  18. It looks to be a smaller sized lake with pike, walleye and bass. A little hard to tell from the picture but there appears to be 4 streams that flow in/out of it. I have never fished so I can;t help you with first hand info, good luck and let us know how you do. By the way it is in Division 29.
  19. Apparently it has good bass and pike fishing.
  20. If you leave from Toronto, step #26 has you doing the same thing. Too funny!
  21. This site has some test result on two strokes running ethanol/gas ... http://www.ilcorn.org/Ethanol/Ethan_Studie...ll_engines.html
  22. Very nicely done. That rental looked like it was a pretty nice ride, no little 9.9 on the back. The water levels look like they are way down, is the lake on a dam system?
  23. After owning a '94 Intrepid Es, I wouldn't recommend one to anybody. I had nothing but problems with mine, and not cheap ones; transmission, timing belt, head gaskets, cv joints, water pump etc. There's lots of sites with reviews, just google "1996 Chrysler Intrepid reviews". Good luck.
  24. "He'll still have 3 months of muskie fishing after his license is re-instated." With a guy like him, he'll probably be ice fishing for muskie on Pigeon come mid January. Shocked he even bothered to get a license. "I have a question though. What do they do with criminals who are caught fishing without a license? Do they revoke theirs for a year?" I hear they could still suspend you for whatever time period, the suspension would begins when you first possess a new one. (woohoo finally got a license, now it is suspended for a year)I also believe that they would fine you for not originally having one.
  25. Awesome clip thanks! The "tags" say Wyoming so most likely from there.
