Heading off to Cayo Coco in 6 days.... Cuba....
Bondar replied to Gerritt's topic in General Discussion
You can catch cudas, jacks and snapper right off your beach I used xraps but really any bait I bet would work there's tarpon there and bonefish I would look in your lagoon at night for fish ! But the shrimp from your buffet will get you fish too its fun salt water fish fight way harder !! Have fun I was there is february and will be back in december again can't wait -
Surprise people are missing the point on this and get off track again !!! This is about the classified ads not getting chrome trim thrown in on your new truck or bickering at a big box store for a seniors discount ! This is a one on one transaction with a guy selling quality gear at less than half price ! Which usually works out great for both seller and buyer and I'm pretty sure when a price is FIRM the person doesn't. NEED to sell it and isn't starving so low balling is kind of pointless

Come on honest mistake....... just learn your fish !!!! not trying to pick on any one !!! if Your fishing please just learn what your fishing for

I'd do a little research before you head out again as well , better to know what your fishing for before the wrong person has to tell you (CO) !

A day on the water with Gramps for his 80th !!!
Bondar replied to Bondar's topic in General Discussion
here a few more pics from our day on the water -
Well my Grandfather turns 80 tomorrow so i decided what better way to celebrate than a day on the water fishing for his birthday , I called up Paul from Cast adventures and booked a morning trip with him on Lake Erie and am i ever glad i did ! I picked my Gramps up at 7am , loaded up the truck and headed for Fort Erie where we were to meet up with Paul for 7:30 , a nice drive down the Niagara Parkway and some history lessons and Classic stories made the drive fly by , we arrived at the Dock to see Paul was ready to go with the boat in the water , we loaded up our gear into the boat and off we went ! Headed out of the mouth of the Niagara river into Lake Erie and after a nice run on a flat lake we set up on our first spot , after a few minutes of drifting and 2 fish we pulled up and relocated pulled into Spot # 2 and picked up a couple more Bass in the 3lb class and a Big Sheephead , but still not what we were looking for So Paul told us to reel up and we were on to spot #3 and after a quick adjustment in presentation it was "ON" We had fish in this area pretty well Non stop for the rest of our trip , Double headers 3 -4 and 5 lbers in the mix with the odd sheephead mixed in the bunch ( those things fight HARD out there ) all in all we figured we were upwards of 50 fish in the boat for the day !!!!! Just Awsome !!! We all had such an amazing day on the water lots of laughs , fish stories and the usual guy talk , few pictures were taken due to the bite being so good but I did manage 2 pictures and Paul has a couple more that i'll post later ! I'd like to thank Paul of Being a Class Act guide and being very helpful in making this an amazing trip for my Grandfathers 80th Birthday ! At the end of the day he said he couldnt remember the last time he had that much fun for his Birthday !!! Thanks

Theres Bass in Lake Erie ?? hmm
-
i've decided to go with the Thunnus Ci4 , LOL i know a bit over budget but it can double as a good reel when i go down south ! thanks everyone for your replies

I agree with this 100% and paying $25 for something you wore out with general use over 5 years doesnt seem to bad to me either , for some reason with fishing items people think they should be handed a new one as soon as something fails after being used or they close a rod in the trunk, or step on it ! These are the reasons why Warranties arent what they used to be because of false claims and people wanting hand outs for something that was general wear and tear or operator error

Hey guys i'm looking to buy my First baitrunner but I know nothing about these reels , i'd like a reel that is going to last me a while and has a smooth drag but isnt going to cost me to much , I'll likely use this thing twice a year and probably in some water that can have current so i'd also need an idea on the size of reel to purchase ! i'm looking at spending $100-$150 I'm not looking for a debate on which reel is better just a few opinions from the seasoned carp anglers on what they themselves would go to is this case ! thanks for any help in advance Jeff

Ive had really good luck with the " Peppers Eyewear " ive had Smith , Oakleys , arnettes, Killer Loop , Costa Del Mars and these 39.99 peppers are all as good as the top brands , They have Lifetime warranty even if you scratch them you get a new pair they have a tonne of different styles and even some that float , which are the ones i have . I dont work for these guys or anything i'm just really happy with them and the warranty service is quick and painless
