  3. I had a warranty issue with a Loomis , and they sent Canpar right to my house and Delivered a new rod back in 2 weeks , with zero charge to me ! Can't beat that.

  5. I have the Loop Opti speedrunner as well , its 5-1/8" diameter and an 1" wide with lots of porting , but that reel picks up like no other , I use it on my switch rod in the lower niagara ! You do have to be careful not to step on it for sure , I could see it bending but I have had no issues with mine , I think you'll like the Hardy my Dad just got the 9000 I believe, for a switch rod but I haven't had the chance to play with it yet but they are kind of the same idea as the loop I think it will make a great trout reel , I'm not a fan of the Lamson reels though I've never owned one . Annnnd the Hardy will look pretty wicked on that custom without a doubt
  6. My next reel will be a Nautilus NV 10/11 with the G-8 spool , buuut I have to save my pennies . Currently I use a Loop Opti runner on my 8 wt single hand and its been a great reel fairly good line pick up and a smooth drag it handles screaming bonefish and trout . I'm not a fan of loud click reels myself
  7. Thanks Fang Not really looking for bonefish though , more looking to cross some more fish off the list , I have 2 maybe 3 weeks planned next year chasing bones, permit and tarpon again in cuba . I've been to Mexico as well but didn't get to fish much , I want to do the florida thing cause I only want to go for 4 days max not a whole week

I have the Itch to go fish the salt again , so at the end of october I'm planning a 4 day weekend to the St.Petes/ Tampa Bay area If anyone has ever been to the area or has done something similar can share some Info it would be great Cheap Flights ? Good guide experiance ? Good place to eat? Places to stay away from ? I will be mainly Fly fishing , but will be bring some gear rods as well , mostly interested in sight fishing Flats and mangroves Thanks for any help !
  11. How about anyone of the ones at say a bank or grocery store ? If it's electronic it can be hooked up to a timer just like any indoor lamp timer no?

  13. I've seen about half a dozen boats come off the trailer onto the launch at queenston launch in the winter with ice , but never in the warmer weather , make sure you don't have those easy load teflon strips on your bunks they are pretty slick as well

  19. Nice tank ! We were out today and was a little bit of a tough bite as well , 5 bows a sucker lol and a smallie . Water was perfect but didn't see many guys on lots of fish , we picked away but the weather was awesome so pretty tough to beat that

  21. i 'm looking for a step down transformer for a upcoming trip , i know nothing about these things and im afraid to buy a cheapo and have it fry all my electronics i need to go from Cuban 220v down to 110v , something for charging cameras and stuff like that , anyone have a brand or something they have used without issues? thanks for any help
