For sure, any brand can be a good car or a total lemon. A buddy had a new F 150 that was never right, he had to dump it because it was like it was cursed. I blew connecting rod on my Jetta Diesel with less than 200k km on it and that was it for me. An extended family member recently bought a used A6 and it looks like it's going to compete with the Toureg for repairs, lol.

At work they phased out our old fork lifts and went with German ones that cost about $120 k each for a pretty basic machine. It's good, keeps our mechanics employed because these things are in and out of the shop weekly, and there's the mystical, intermittent problems that even God himself couldn't solve or fix.

I've got a big family and on the inlaws side there's a huge group of overly proud Germans who only buy Mercedes, BMW, VW etc. At family functions and stuff, I don't say anything, but I sit back and listen to their car stories. I'm just giggling under my breath when I hear all the causally told horror stories. There's one guy who's Toureg has been in the shop for more than half it's life, 12 years old, over 6 years idle in the shop, not exaggerating, what did that vehicle cost? probably twice as much as your house? german engineering, das auto

Leafs just beat the best team in the league and have won 8 of 9, good times! Vagilevskiy did look a little sketchy but our boys played hard.

Is that Dave Randorf doing the play by play? for christs sakes bring back Joe Bowen to TV, this is like watching a US channel

Not the cable, current pulling the line on an angle when fishing deep. How did the sonar work Huzz?

I see Matthews as mature way beyond his years. I like how he totally avoids the pushing and shoving after the whistle since he's not a tough guy and just seems focused on an even keel. I don't think he's going to improve much more though, he'll be a solid 2 way player with 30 to 40 goals each year, nothing wrong with that.

I think the native rights stuff is different than all the silly lawsuits in the US. I'm not taking sides, I've mentioned this before, just food for thought in the real world, a native guy on my inlaws side is from the Bruce Peninsula but they spear fish walleye all through the Kawarthas and BOQ, no problems. I don't know if this was posted on here before, but it's an interesting video from Lake Nipissing What I take away from all of this is, in the big picture, things still haven't been settled and agreed upon where both groups feel satisfied.
-
yeah, that might not work Huzz unless you get some pretty heavy weight down on the dowel near the ducer. maybe bring a bunch of stuff from the garage and play around with it when the bite is slow, good luck tomorrow, let us know how you do

no problem Bri I'm hoping Marner nets his 3rd tonight, that flukey one hit JVR on its way in

HNIC is on Rogers during the Olympics

You live by the sword you die by the sword. Unfortunately sometimes violence is necessary to keep guys inline. Ulf Samuelsson was one of the dirtiest players to play the game. For us guys who watched Ulf for years, we see this video differently than someone who doesn't watch hockey and just sees 2 hockey players and a sucker punch.

That's an awesome adventure! No fish, no problem, looks like lots of fun regardless.

like I said before, I have a bunch of chargers, I'm glad you could use it, very classy but not necessary or expected giving me a timmies card in return
-
I do that too. If it gets a little off kilter it can't mark your bait. Nothing wrong with a cheaper unit Huzz, just less definition and less fancy colors. Are you zooming in on bottom when you're down 100'?

Do you have an ice transducer or are you trying to aim a regular transducer straight down in a vertical position?

some pretty good diving by the Bruins, the fans yell so loud after the dives the refs arm automatically goes up

A NUNAVUT NOMAD III. TREE RIVER ROOTS.
chris.brock replied to Moosebunk's topic in General Discussion
Don't give us any sad stories about the cold and the dark Bunk, you're wanderlust is envious. I'm doing the same thing on a smaller scale, thinking about next season's trips, looking at maps, googling info, talking with guys, looking at more maps... -
I love it too pics. The fishing is good but go for the experience. Probably the most unique Ontario PP I've been to. If it's the same young guy I would chat with up there, it looked like he carried a handgun on his hip. He's not a CO, I asked how do you have that? It was a bear banger, hahhaha

as soon as we speak, penalty called, lol

maybe the refs got some instruction over the break to chill down, no penalties for the first half of the Leafs game, I like it!

The Magic Lure, anyone recognize this spoon?
chris.brock replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
First picture, 4th from the left is what we call the magic lure, yes, no stamping or branding. I am guessing the first picture, 3rd from the left is the spoon in the Sunshine Lake report. It likely has some mojo too. Phil said what made these spoons effective and swim seductively was the balance of the spoon weight and the curvature, including the weight of the hook. Swapping out the hook will bugger it up. I don't know??? I'm just glad I can now buy some more, thanks to the help from the other guys posting. -
The Magic Lure, anyone recognize this spoon?

Good work Rob! I talked to Phil as well today, he sounds like a unique dude, lol. He should be advertising / marketing these things better and I'm sure he could sell a lot more stuff. -
The cool thing about online trading that I like is you can put a stop loss in or set a buy or sell at a certain price for the day/ week, if it hits that price, great, if it doesn't, it doesn't, no charge. I had a couple companies that would fluctuate within a certain range and I would get in and out. Lots of fun!

Underwater ice fishing footage. Smallmouths
chris.brock replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
Cool footage. They seem to stack up and overwinter in the same spots every year. I'd avoid that spot because they don't release well from deep water in the winter and of course they are oos.
