clothing while snow blowing that does not get wet
Leecher replied to npt1's topic in General Discussion
Lloyd, when there's wind I don't even go out... I just wait until it dies down. Usually after sun down the winds diminish and I say usually, not always the case My old hunting jacket, pair of insulated rubber boots with my beaver skin hat and mittens is what I use all the time for snowblowing the snow Leechman -
Great looking buck boatman Congratulations +/- 25 yards, didn't go too far... Great shooting Looks like a 2 1/2 year old buck from the pic.... Real nice Thanks for sharing Keep'm coming guys.... Looking real good Leechman

Matt, like I said in my previous reply, I would never shoot at a moving deer with or without a scope. I prefer to wait, let it pass or until it stops to take a good shot.... I always make my first shot count cause I hate running after a down animal

Great looking doe Matt Congratulations Open sight was the same for me until my brother in law got me a scope, Sportchief 1.5 x 4.5 zoom.... got it installed on my 303 Lee Enfield and the first time I shot at a deer with it missed But after that, got used to it and can shoot into the 10 ring on target and confident at a neck shot on a deer. Thanks for sharing Jacques

Rich, I'd start on the drop off and work your way to the shallows.... usually drop offs will hold bait fish, good starting point IMO Good luck to ya Leechman

Yes Kev, come on over tomorrow for sure... if Paul don't want to go I will We should be leaving aroung 9ish
-
All depends on what species is being targetted.... if pike is the targetted specie then I would go with steel leaders and would change that 6Lbs mono for some 20Lbs PP braid. all other species I'd go with fluro leaders uni to uni. Jacques
-
You may want to use fluro leaders, 12" long and use a uni to uni knot to connect them together. Leechman

Matt what I'd like to see for QC is the group hunting party.... I think that it does not matter who shoots the animal... what counts is the results from a group aspect Here in QC, once you tag a deer your hunting is over. We don't even get extra tags like you guys have... if we are lucky, we get a doe tag from a draw. Enough said about that and lets get back to hard water fishing.... going tomorrow for sure around 9ish if the winds cooperate Tight lines J
