Glad to hear everyone is OK bud,now we can talk about taking that walk.....lol....TC....Chuck....

I just got home with my 2 whities.After getting skunked yesterday,I had a plan to go farther today with a couple of local buddies today.I got to the park at 7 ....nobody there,but wasn't long before another came along,and another.....so the 3 of us walked east with one guy stopping eary.the other guy said he missed one yesterday ,so I was following him......we got to 85 ft. and I went a little farther,but within eyeshot as it was very foggy....and within 11/2 hrs I had my 2 whities ....MMMMM dinner is going to be good tonight....TC and tight lines all

Funny thing to add,Diefenbaker Lake was man made and I was there to watch the official flooding....My Dad may still have the photos.....I think I may ask him.......TC all.....Chuck...

It's snowing here in Alcona,and we got a couple of inches overnight......Gonna go out and clean up around here ,then it's off to do the parade thingy with my lions club..........TC all........

Good to see you again Sam.......No apologies nessesary,when I came out the cabin and saw Mike's rod tip,I thought ,now there's a 'stand up guy,'gott'er done and was back just to drop it off.....thx again Sam.....The winning lure was a Reef Runner in Barbie mode,,,,,the funny thing is when I bought it and got it home ,I noticed it has no markings on it at all.....no eyes,gills or lateral lines on it at all,but we all know it still works just fine..........TC all.......Chuck.....

Thx. all.We had a great time,seeing old friends and meeting new ones.Both of us catching our PB's was just a bonus,Shelley's was 27 1/2 inches,7lb,12 oz,and mine was 8lbs,3 oz,till I got the pig at 30 inches and 11 lbs bang on......As I said it was a great time,other than the Merland's screw up's, but I'm sure it will cost them in the long run...........Hope everyone made the trip home safely,and now we can all pray for cold and ICE,to get us into the next season......TC and tight lines all...........Chuck and Shelley.....

I've been out a couple times near Bradford,Seen deer almost everytime,got one shot off,which seemed to be low as the blood trail dwindled to nothing,and we found no deer ,that was thursday,I'll be back at her this week....TC.....Chuck.......

Alcona has a launch at the end of the 8th line(Innisfil beach rd.),the fee is usually 12 to launch and 20 to park ,but the office was closed with no one there the last few times we were there...Hope this helps....TC and tight lines all......Chuck.....

First off,taking the roe from a fish ,then releasing it is illegal.You must keep the fish ,if you wish to keep the roe.OK now,take the eggs ,rinse them and add twice the amount of water,as eggs.Add the same amount of salt(as eggs),and the same amount of brown sugar.Stir slowly and let stand for a few hours.....Check eggs by sqeezing one ,they get a rubbery coating and bounce like little rubber balls......rinse once more,pat dry on paper towel and store in the fridge till your ready to go.....TC and tight lines....Chuck.....
