  1. Cliff the fish would not be wasted and no one person would be given more than a legal limit, its also not party fishing as you can GIVE fish to someone. The MNR was present during the event to insure proper proceedures were followed. I read a post on OOD started by someone with the handle" fenlon" and the claims were clearly outlandish and it was painfully obvious that it was posted by someone that lives or has a cottage on the lake and suffers from major NIMBY (not in my backyard) regarding tournaments and tried to fan the flames with a thinly vailed post.
  2. With all due respect and your right to form an opinion Cliff, as Joe Friday on Dragnet used to say "the facts, just the facts". I don't see too many facts involving this event being floated around. You have painted all tournaments with a brush based on sensationalism thats been slung.
  3. Garfish you seem to be going out of your way too push your point of some fish mortality,do you have a agenda your not reveiling? Are you anti tournament? Read my previous post IF your really concerned about the fishery. This event injected ALOT of money into the local economy and you either intentionally or by default are tarnishing it with speclulation and sensationalism.
  4. Who considers it fragile? Centainly not the mnr as evidenced by the current slot regs. Even IF there was a problem and mortality was over 10% and say as high as 25% To put it into context 2,3,4,5 times that number are harvested every week there in season. If you think its fragile then question the limit/slot regs not a one time event.
  5. If it such a travesty that 5,10,20???? Walleye were found dead that MAY (or not)have been as a result of a tournament and you are outraged and believe it has measurable impact on the fishery then you really wouldnt want to know how many are taken on a weekend by meat hunters, poached by keeping fish outside the slot or kept even though the fisherman already has a limit at home or kept via group fishing as well as mishandled or kept on a chain and later culled. To suggest a tournament has an impact in comparison to the above is......
  6. Mercman you are talking 4 strokes and I believe you,Im only talking 2 strokes I know squat about 4's.
  7. Sorry merc man but they do have a permanent memory ans breakdown on over reving and time logged at various rpm ranges, this isnt the same ecu as in your car.
  8. Art touched on the ecu storing fault codes and rpm's, if you didnt follow proper breakin proceedure (they will know) and its blows say goodbye to your warranty, reason enough to follow the manual???
  9. You have too vary the rpm and keep it down and bring it up in stages to seat the rings. If you just run it like you stole it you likely just cut its life in half. Broke in properly it should live 1200-1500 if its maintained,if you run it hard off the hop it may not blow but you wont be seeing it make 1000 hrs either most of the time. The manual has a proceedure for a reason.
  10. Nice fish, I was on it last summer but didnt have time to fish, I hear it rocks for spots.
  11. Read your sales agreement I bet there is an approximate delivery date but its not firm, dealers word them this way intentionally to prevent being sued. It happens all the time (delays) and its out of their control so dont expect a ton of freebees its the nature of the business. If you push too much or are to demanding and unreasonable you will just sour your relationship with them and you wouldnt like the way things might go if you needed warranty work etc in the future. Relax alittle on this its in your best interest to be civil with them.
  12. Huge up grade i would be all over it
  13. I have a number of times, you can pm me for info
  14. Thats classy of Justin to give you the spot. Most of the others guys have caught enough fish over the years.
  15. Gores landing marina on Rice has covered slips $600ish maybe less.BJ's tackle rents them at the shop in Bewdley very resonable, call them an ask for Ben.
  16. I agree on the marketing to an extent but it depends on the technique, you would see a huge benefit to a highend dropshot rod (I went through 3 to find the right one). My 2 best rods are for that and pitching/senko's. Cranks, frogs, spinnerbaits well if you spend much more than $100 unless you just wanted a really lite rod I think you spent too much.
  17. I guess you forgot to mention the cannon camera was a US model on sold and serviced (and recalled) in the US and that you bought it there before you slagged Cannon Canada? With the heemie himee attitude you have projected your cross border shopping is likely a blessing to Canadian retailers. To call a spade a spade you are a piece of work.
  18. Put a stiff 20lb mono or fluoro leader on or it will constantly get caught up in your trebles, with the leader it will fish great.
  19. well I was thinking in terms of 1-2k lb. fishing boats and they are talking about 25-50k lb. boats but I would guess the hydro dynamic principles would be the same.If you took a light boat and loaded it down the ride would not improve, conversly there are some boats that are heavy for the hull length but are horrible in rough water. Would they be even worse if they were lighter? I dont think so just as putting weight in your boat wont make it better. Hulls designed with a sharp deadrise keel running too the bow will improve ride a ton, putting 4 fluffy guys in a 18' boat full of gas an gear wont make it run smoother than when its light. Im talking about running on plane not plowing waves at 15mph though.
  20. Weight has zero effect on how well a boat runs rough water guys, its all hull design drivers excluded.
  21. Quality wise no comparision to what you have, keep the A boat
  22. Like Roy said only a few manufacturers, I only know of johnson controls and east penn. Batteries are branded and made to spec by them but they are not all the same, plate thickness and cell insulation can vary so not all wet cells are created equal.
  23. Has the impeller been changed? If you dont know I would change it, if its on lits lasts legs that could mean an extra 5psi without touching anything else. The other lazer may give you 1-2 mph more but if you want the boat to fly try to find a tempest because the have more blade rake they will lift the bow much better than the lazer.
  24. I used to call small dogs rats but we got a shizu recently an they are ok. Funny I wanted to name him gazoo or gizmo but lost to charlie (:
  25. Does it come with a hub kit or is it a rubber hub?If its rubber it may not fit because it may be intended for a larger diameter prop shaft. If its a hub kit you may just need to buy another hub to fit your engine. Your psi should be 15minimum at wot an less at lower rpm. Are you still throwing a rooster when your running wot and trimmed out? Did your rpm/speed go up after you raised it too 2 1/2" without having to over trim and get alot of prop slip? This is just a guess but you either have an engine issue at high rpm (doubt it) or you need more bow lift, like I mentioned before you are not running a very good prop for that, look for a tempest or a raker(with a hub kit). If the 21 fits try an test it 1st,it may run better for you than what you have but you will still be leaving a few mph on the table (not getting the max out of your boat).
