I was amazed at how many people fishing OOS bass
hirk replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
I think the known biology of LM/SM in terms of survival/recruitment related to spawning does support a early catch and release season in Ontario that would not have a negative impact on populations and I would like to see it atleast on a trial basis for a period of time that would allow for statistical anaylsis to validate it's acceptability. However the current laws as such clearly state it is illegal to target oos bass and it infuriates me when I see ass clowns that KNOW BETTER doing it just because they think they can get away with it.It's not ok to fish without a lic. because that's the law,why do these clowns think it's ok too break that law,I'd love to see CO's start dropping charges on em,pay up or let em tell the judge they were not targeting bass.Word gets around people are being charged and the jokers may find new respect for our laws.It takes a real sportsman with moral fibre to go in and pound LM/SM this time of yr.. -
Where are you located? What model is it? I may be able to help you get it replaced.Gerrit I don't understand why you think it's bad customer service just because they wanted you to send in the eye hooks??? It's their way of knowing how many you bought and replacing them WITHOUT a receipt, the lures may have had an issue not disputing that but too bash them cause they wanted some kinda proof you even bought them to begin with?????

Scrap it bud, sorry but if the crank is gone your way too far into a repair to ever justify the $'s being a 88.

Nories NF60,yes I sell em but I sell most of the frogs mentioned in the poll,my point is I fish the Nories

Take the head off and spin it 180*,this will allow you to go backward (pull instead of push the boat for better control) with all your forward speed options.

This issue reminds me of the 401 sound barriers that got put up for the sole benefit of those living beside the hwy because they rasied hell with tax payers s,funny though the hwy was there before most of em,they must not have noticed it when they bought:).I've never argued with a dock owner but I assure you if someone approaches me like an ass yelling or tries to bully me off,it's not happening!!Some of these people have become impowered because they have succeeded in intimidating others, where does it end? You can't fish within 100' of my shore???The law is clear and there for the benefit of EVERYONE,they need to learn to play by the rules,if they can't except people fishing thier dock/shore line without blowing a gasket maybe they should consider a move inland.I never fish a dock people are using as a courtesy to them BTW or leave hooks. Some of these people just need to get the message that they put their dock on public property!!!

They would draw 5amps ea.Your batteries would seldom be much under 50% charge so if they are m-27's (120amp)@ 50% discharge it would take 12hrs to full charge.

I used to shoot in competions,I will always remember having to shoot doubles in a meet (I had never shot em before, our club wasn't setup to throw em) and my 1st round I went 48 for 50 birds,my 2 missed were because I didn't fully lock up my O/U so it miss fired= count as missed birds, always wondered if I woulda shot a perfect 50/50.

I shot trap a bunch yrs ago and some skeet.I found trap required far more skill due too random bird flight paths and distance.Had different guns but nothing would touch my Browning superposed broadway for the shear joy of shooting it,what a sweet piece.

Fireline braid is round because of the weave they use, I fished #15 and #50 last yr. and it's leaps ahead of anything else out there for castability and is very durable.Stren sonic braid would be my 2nd choice (upgraded super braid new last yr).I used power pro for yrs. but lets just say I can tell the difference imeadiately when I pick up a rod spooled with it as I still used it on a few last yr.

NEVER!! use anything but marine gearcase oil.The Penzoil blurb spells it out for you.

I agree with Graham 100%.When it comes to aluminum boats if it doesn't say Allumacraft or Lund on the side I've seen enough, they are the 2 best built bar non and for me anyway quality is 1st priority.if it's not really well made the rest doesn't matter.

I just sold 2 southbend and a Heddon in the box's from the late 20's early 30's and researched hardware etc and what you have is like I said newer and like mentioned a dying flutter type bait but likely a Heddon copy if it's not marked as a Heddon. The box's were worth more than the lures btw.

With that hardware it's not that old, maybe late 40's or 50's.Looks like a Heddon, not likely worth much, some value if you had the box for it.

There are no pike in Pidgeon

One problem sure to be seen will be guys "fishing pike" on water where they don't exist (as in most of the lakes posted here earlier)a hard ass CO might lay a charge of targeting a species during closed season and yeah the guy(s) fishing may have made an honest mistake fishing pike on say Chemong or Rice but ignorance of the law is not a legal defence,a few charges laid may put the brakes on too much of that going on.

I'm sure it must be right in front of me but I don't see a function for checking mail on the site???? anyone answer my dumb Q?

I don't have a "loyal brand" myself but when it comes to motors you will find depending on HP that some offer advantages over others. In the range your shopping for the biggest thing to look for is cubic inch displacement and number of cylinders (and any specific model problems),these two things = torque/performance,get the v-4.Dealers to service is pretty important too,I would be very concerned buying a Suzuki/Honda and Yammy for that reason depending on where you live.

How about in the box Bushnell H20 10x42's for $100 or 8x42's for $90.I have 1 of each

Opitma's are lighter and will handle about twice the number of charge/discharge cycles compared to a wet cell. They have a little lower reserve rating than a comparable wet cell but discharge differently, they maintain constant output longer but then fall flat faster. You would want the 31 blue top if buying Optima's.BTW I am an Interstate dealer and have used them for TM, they also are very good,I run Optima's because they came with my boat but am happy with them so far.If you get wet cells get 27m size.

Wouldn't do anything Albert, any moisture will air dry. It's not being submersed.
