  1. I gotta agree with Anders. TSN promotes this as a day to take off work and watch their coverage all day, but no matter how exciting they keep telling me it is, it's not!!! I'd rather just tune in the end of the day and have 'em recap the deals. Takes all of a minute and a half.
  2. Thanks for sharing your 'secret' with us Aaron. And a terrific report with some absolutley gorgeous photos of gorgeous fish. Bet that day woulda made a nice TV show too. Cheers!
  3. I've had the same problem with my jiggin' raps too. I have several 'bare' ones just waiting for the right size treble when I find em. I'm always surprised how a company like Rapala can make such a common mistake. Oh well..
  4. Now that there is a good time! And thanks for sharing it with da rest of us.
  5. Ya, I saw that! She even had to be assisted onto the podium to accept her medal! Wow!!!
  6. Ya, spot trapping sounds like something you do just so you can say you're doing something. Can't imagine it being very effective.
  7. Way to go Aaron. Thanks for the report and sharing your set up. Will have to try that presentation myself. Nothing like those titanium stike indicators, eh. They turn any jigging rod into a super ultra light bite detector. Hey, your Rapala rod, is it the combo ones they sell at the tackle stores with the Rapapa reel? If it is, it's a nice combo for the price( $40 to $45 )and available in several different actions. Purchased one myself. Cheers!
  8. Bet you'll rent a lot of it out to Habs fans since they're the ones who always keep bringing up a parade route. lol
  9. Phaneuff is another good, young player for the Leafs to re-build with, like Kessel, and another good move by Burke. Rebuilding a hockey team is a slow process and requires patience. I watched the Leafs do it incorrectly for so many years that I'm gonna cut him a lot of slack and be patient.
  10. Wow, nice Laker Mike! And whitey. Congratulations! And I'd say it was the guys you were fishing with who had "minimal success!" lol
  11. What, couldn't get into any big ones, Paul? lol Wow, some nice ones there and that Brown is a real beauty! Thanks for posting. I'm feeling warmer already!
  12. A warm summer eve enjoying a few bevvies on the deck and cruising fish at your feet. Enjoy your little piece of paradise right their, Slowpoke. It's gonna be sweet!
  13. For brookie fishing down this part of Southern Ontario, I use both but find myself flipping and casting the Mepps a bit more oftern. With our fish being smaller than what you'd find up your way, I use the smaller size spinners and find the heavier weight of the Mepps makes 'em easier to throw.
  14. Wow, she's the Come-From-Behind Kid! Way To Go!!! Is your daughter scoring her points with kicks? She has the ability to score quickly with very little time left. What a great sport/martial art to be involved in! Something tells me she has more wins ahead of her!!!
  15. Awesome! I always thought a fishing show would be great on radio. Especially on sports radio stations where you have such a huge male demo. Funny but on the Fan 590, they'll talk about America college basketball before fishing and I think there are far more fisherman listening than, fans of college basketball. I don't even wanna talk about Barkleys Outdoor Journal with Angelo Viola that they carry Saturday mornings. That thing is aweful!!!!!!!
  16. I was out at another Conservation Area on Sunday, Buck, and we only managed ONE Crappie, so well done! lol Yup, it was cold. Gotta get me some cover!
  17. Way to go Lorne! I like your tidy little set up there, too. You've gone a long way to dispel the myth that carp don't bite in the winter! That gives all of us another option to consider come winter time when the season is closed for other species. Cheers!
  18. I still don't get why only non-residents has to pay. I guess the township wants a money grab and that's the only way the redidents would alow it to pass.
  19. A real beauty there Jen and a nice start to your season for sure. And it's all right at your doorstep! Here's hoping for many more to come! Cheers!
  20. And Sunday morning at 8am, it goes right past my house. Cool!
  21. Ya, I've rented Floyds regular huts before and he has a good operation on that side of the lake. Never tried the bungalows though. Usually, after 8 hours in a hut, I'm glad I didn't book to stay overnight! lol
  22. NHL isn't planning to expand or move any of their francises, so I'm thinking no. Unless it's in another league or something.
  23. Left Hamilton at 7:30 this morning, rainy and slushy roads. Travelled up HWY 6 towards Guelph and rain turned to snow. 9am here in Kitchener is snowy, wet and sloppy. Drive carefully Crew!
  24. Ya, I remember Sunday nights on the old Nashville Network, they'd run a couple of hours of fishing shows. My first intro to Bill Dance, Orlando Wilson, Hank Parker, etc. Hey Syn, check out: myoutdoortv.com They have a bunch of Bill's shows on there! I watch a lot of 'em again for old times sake.
  25. Alright! The Habs are getting bashed as much as the Leafs! They really ARE Canada's team!!!
