  2. have no idea where that is...but decided not to go up to barrie anyways.
  3. Are there Any steelie streams near barrie that are open right now? or kinda close anyways.
  4. they were out of contention all season...no new thing!
  5. futureshop had a 50inch LG plasma hdtv on for $1499...just in case you were looking.
  6. samsung is coming out with some great products....but I seen a sony bravia the other day and the picture was unbelievable.
  7. well I started pumping my gas slower when I got this email about a month ago...and I get about an extra 50 kilometres to a tank now in my truck....so I say there is truth in this
  8. I have the Okuma sheffield for 3 years now...I have beat the crap out of it and so have the fish....I do most of my floating in the Niagara river so when I slip and fall on rocks and smash the reel it has nicks and scratches but keeps on ticken. It was my starting reel and has gone down considerably since I bought it. I would recomend it for sure.
  9. could have been either....they have been catching them all winter....a week ago 3 of us got 9 rainbows and 1 brown drifting in the boat there.
  10. ever even thought of maybe an Argo....can go to places even an ATV can't.
  11. depends on what your looking to fish for. Lower has been great for steelies this winter. For bass in the summer both upper and lower can produce anywhere from 40-100 fish days. those are the main 2 fish I fish for so can't be much help on any other species. Heard lots of people fish for musky in the upper near fort erie.
  12. i feel your pain...same thing happened to me 6 years ago...also a grand am. Car was found with the axle broken and the motor shot. Hope this doesn't dampen your spirits...LOL.
  13. well I live 2 blocks from lake erie...but like to travel to fishing spots...so I guess I will be staying close to home for most of the summer. Wanted to try my kayak out up north near bancroft but it would cost around $200 in gas and thats out of the question for sure.
  14. Niagara river is open all year around....queenston is a good start for bottom bouncing. Or if you float fish then the Glen or the Whirlpool is a better start. Port dalhousie in st. catharines is also open all year around...you bottom bounce there as well.
  15. what a waste I think....donate the donated money to the homeless or needy families.
  16. get you tickets first and save your money before you go out...and like some on here said...keep your nose and liver clean. Alot of drugs and alcohol, try not to give into peer presure and you will come out a winner. You will make alot more money if you get your tickets first. REsearch the net.....lots out there.
  17. I tried telling that to some guy here in Fort Erie...he didn't want any of my advise....told me he was just catch and releasing them and said that it was alright....told him NO of course. Guess I lost the battle of the stupid on this one...LOL Trout are year around in Lake ontario, lake erie and Niagara river.
  18. who said anything about leafs fans...why you guys always gotta turn this on the leafs....ridiculous...LOL. If montreal faces a fast hard hitting team in the playoffs they are done...no way they can go a whole series like that...they are fast and can score but they cannot handle the hard checking.
  19. Not a chance....unless the better teams draw 10 penalties a game!
  20. definately hot head cop...kid didn't mouth off at all!
  21. Its a shame...hundreds of thousands of athletes around the world do it but they only seem to wanna make an example of the Best of the Best! I hope he is cleared!!
  22. I was in a similar bout in June with dry rot under the house and a main support beam cracked. Inspector said he couldn't get under the house....next inspector did in 5 seconds and found the problems....well $2600 later it is fixed...learned a valuable lesson on this one! Get them to check everything. I feel your pain and frustration Rick!!! Tried to go after the home inspector....with no results! And it was a reputable inspection business...oh well!
  23. way to go Rich and his girl...I did that last year on simcoe with 60 click winds , and -25-30, couldn't get the ice hut up so I said I did not drive 2 hours to go back home..sat there back to the wind for 6 hours...I know exactly what you went thru...except one thing...you guys are way under dressed, at least I had my survival suit on....geez Rich! LOL
  24. Gerrett....he has mostly worked in the hotel business setting up banquets I think, at least of the jobs I knew he was doing were that...LOL.
  25. I told my Bro he had nothing to worry about because he has a 1 year old son, and they cannot refuse you if you have children (so I was told ). Now my story about them. I have only collected it once, right out of college looking for a job and of course slim pickings...the usual college story. But anyways it was winter, they told me I had to hand out resumes....they refused to give me money for a bus pass so I had to walk. I did as I was told for 4-5 hours a day in -15. After about 1 week before my second check I get a call and the guy wanted me to come in to the office...mind you it was an 1.5 hour walk...LOL. I get there only for this guy to tell me that they have terminated my assistance because I wasn't putting forward a good enough effort. Now this was 11 years ago I think, and I am not trying to get sympathy from anyone but how can they do this to people when as you guys have said people mooch of the system there whole lives. Guess if I would have just sat at home on my butt it might not have happened...LOL. But who can survive on the $520 a month that they give a single person anyways. Thanks for all your incouragements guys I appreciate them and will pass them on to my Bro. Once he gets settled into a perminant town or city then he can find a job very quick...he has always been lucky that way. Thanks again guys!
