  1. And that's what it's all about!!!!! I honestly get more of a thrill watching others hook fish than myself (especially first timers) RF
  2. Except for the COLD hands from all the fish handling LOL.... RF
  3. Just like other posts said, the fish have been on all week. keep a few whitie's and laker and released a bunch more between two of us. Tons of bait fish, isolate the jigging spoon from the bait ball and they were rocketing through the bait clusters to attack the lone spoon. Whitie's and a few lakers were on the Bad boy. Good luck!! RF
  4. Wait for the spring classic, you'll save$$$$$. RF
  5. I'll take that rod over the Frontier ANY DAY!!!! RF
  6. I would say that 75% of the staff in there have other careers ie Police officers, Firefighters, Teachers, Business owners... and are not "low income earners" lol. They work there because the love the sport, (deals don't hurt either) . Not sure about you but when I go into a retail store I sure don't look at the workers as low income earners, I don't know what their financial statements read. Holding one of the fore mentioned careers and then being exposed to retail/customer service during my 2 year part time stint in the BPS fishing dept was a huge eye opener for this guy/ low income earner LOL... oh the story's LOL... What happened to you Marcus is lousy and you should say something! But for the most part the staff in there know their stuff, off course there is always exceptions in any workplace. GCD what knowledge can you gain by not asking questions of a sales employee that knows the product and has likely field tested it? Listen to what others have to say and then form your own opinion, you would be surprised what you can learn. RF
  7. Thank god for fire and EMS
  8. Fish, fish, and fish...LOL Always fish around, slush is a pain but worth it on some days. Here's a few of the fish we hooked into today. Froze out there but managed fish Good luck

  13. That sucks!!! Happening all to much as of late!!! Someone was poking around my truck at the Notty the other day!!! The big guy was resting in the back seats and went mental, you could hear the commotion from the river. Sure enough fresh tracks in the mud leading right to the rear of the truck. what a mess that would off been. RF
  14. Headed out this week, Tue, Wed, Thur. Pm me and let me know if your in!!! RY

  16. HAhahaha, Ya I guess it could be worse LOL...
  17. With the stellar weather I had to ditch all yard work and head out fishing for a few hours. Lost count of how many 2-3 lb fish that were caught, for a while you would get one almost every drift. Lots of fun but repetitive after awhile as well as costly on the roe bank. Lost two large fish (main line snaps) so its time to get rid of the vintage ironsilk line. Just a reminder that its deer season so if your fishing any tribs north Orange is not a bad idea!!! I ran into a few groups pushing the bush for deer, needless to say after meeting them I stuck close to the river and out of the woods LOL..
  18. what systems are you fishing?? Niagara, Notty, the Saugeen are large systems that offer ideal conditions for a 13-15' rod with good backbone for fighting them in the fast stuff. The longer rod also offers more direct float control which equals a better presentation resulting in increased hook ups. Smaller tribs equal 10'-13' med/light rods or even shorter depending on the bush whacking involved. In my opinion you can't go wrong with a 13'-13'.5 rod with a bit of backbone. RF
  19. That guy Mike fought was a monster, your Bro's got ball's.. Ryan
  20. My own reasons were, Fan cooled = narrower power bands. All I need is a little snow for the cooling plates vs colder temps for a fan cooled sled to preform at its peak Liquid cooled+higher tolerances in most cases.... Fan cooled have there place but just not when it hits 8-10c on the ice, all sleds are different but most fan cooled sleds I have seen run rough in these conditions . I do like the Tundras and Skandics though! RF
  21. Long tracks are great, for average access areas nice and comfy ride carry 2 people ect, but for the back lakes you cant beat the older 300's nice and small trail blazers so you can pick them up and get them back on track when they bog down in the deep backwoods snow. Little harder to lift long tracks out of the deep stuff. Also I would stick with a liquid cooled machine if your doing a lot of ice fishing. I have my long track for sale in the classifieds again as of today. If your interested let me know. RF
  22. You see them,.......They see you. RF
  23. Nice work buddy, See you out there next year!!! RY
