  1. It's funny , on one of Chris's last backwoods fishing reports he talked of using a boat that was cached , after looking at his pic of the lake lone behold it was one of our boats we have stashed at the lake . Small world eh. A quick pm varified it . I have no problems with anyone using our stashed boat, we use other people's. luckily no bad experiences yet .
  2. Hahaha, I know that cache of boats also LOL.
  3. 09 Forester XT. Low KMs and scored a pretty sweet deal from the Subaru dealership ( believe it or not LOL)
  4. Great thread, just so happens we were also looking for a vehicle . After doing some extra homework we've decided on a Subaru forester and pick it up on Tuesday. Thanks OFC
  5. I would start with a high quality puppy kibble and slowly introduce a RAW diet after at least a year. I've had my GSP on just about every quality food you could imagine , including a RAW diet. In the off season he's feed straight kibble , during the hunting season (Sept-Feb) he's feed kibble supplemented with basically anything we have for supper that night ie , meats, fish, rice, etc .. For 6 months of the year he's expected to run and hunt hard 3 to 4 days of the week. Usally around Oct he's transformed into a lean mean hunting machine. Why have you picked a RAW diet?
  6. Nice going !!!!!!!!
  7. Nice going !!!!!!!!
  8. Other little guy landed his fish , and the boys took turns trying to subdue the flopping trout it was priceless LOL. Really made me wonder, the next time I'm fishing a crowded pool on a river and I'm getting fish ( wishful thinking) maybe I should pass my rod to the new guy who's just starting instead of coursing to myself about how this guys messing everything up.
  9. Took the little guy for a few hours to some stocked rainbow ponds . Kid had a blast !! And so did I LOL. With a Rod rigged with 2lb fluorocarbon a small float and worm the kid was a force to be reckoned with. At age 3.5 he's enjoyed a few successful outings already BUT today he blew me away!! In the hour we were there we caught fish steady, enough to coax an angler and his 3 year old to make the walk around and fish right beside us. On the rivers or in a boat you'd lose your mind but the trout ponds are for kids so I was hoping to see the little guy hook one . After a chat with the other father we learned that they hadn't hooked anything all day. Not ten seconds after hearing that we're into another . I ask my son if he'd like to give his rod to the other little boy so he can reel one in and his words exactly " that's a great idea"!! He stood by the other little fisherman shouting instructions and words if encouragement . I couldn't of been more proud. That's what it's all about.
  10. When autumn comes shoot me a PM, if your interested I can provide you with all the pheasant feathers you'll ever need. Free for the taking as I normally just chuck em out.
  11. Hahahahha , no turkey yet. Arms are to sore to steady a shotgun !! To many fish ;-)
  12. ! WOW! That's motivation !! Nice one !!
  13. Thanks Brian, Your just saying that to keep me off your rivers !! ;-) LOL
  14. Nice, Out again today, spooked two out of their roost on my way in, then spooked another heading to a Different location. And if that's not enough I had me walk right in from of my jeep on Hwy 27. Thinking I'll stick with rainbows in the spring LOL
  15. Hit a field this AM for some turkey hunting with a buddy. We're both rookies when it comes to Turkeys but managed to call in a few just outside our shooting distance. 10x smarter then I ever gave them credit for LOL! Anyone else get out?
  16. Every season I say I'm gonna stop crimping lead shot with my teeth, this year included. Can't be good for ya. Brian, this season if you see me doing It chuck something at me will ya!

  19. It's my second rubicon, NEVER had a problem with tires (BFG mt) broken tie rods etc.....Dents and scratches, well that's up to the operator. And yep, I have gas money ;-) Thanks though.
  20. Thanks for all the great advice, ended up going with something completely different LOL. Picked up a 2 door Jeep Rubicon, a little bigger but should serve its purpose well. Looking forward to some backwoods fishing adventures ! R
  21. Your friend did the right thing, people had already stopped, and emergency services had been called. Its Tough call not knowing the severity of the crash to offer any opinion or advice as there are so many variables to consider. If anyone does decide to stop and assist, YOURS AND YOUR PASSENGERS SAFTEY IS YOUR FIRST PRIORITY. Pull well ahead of the accident or in some circumstances well behind, leave lots of room for rescue crews (we appreciate this) DON'T turn your back on oncoming traffic ( that's why I'd pull ahead and walk facing oncoming traffic) we all know a secondary accident is a real possibility so have an escape path at all times , don't go under or inbetween any of the cars involved. All seems like common sense but its easily forgotten in any type of emergency situation. My wife was involved in a serious head on collision 2 years ago. First people to stop had zero training in first aid, but had cell phones and provided her with the reassurance that 911 was called. She was grateful they stopped.
  22. Some great pics. Heres Jasper,
  23. Nice work, keep at em !!! I've had a few encounters now with the dogs and yotes.
  24. With all that walking, come spring you'll be a lean mean bush whacking Steelie machine !!! Nice laker!
