I would have put Corrola on the list as it fits the bill, but I do a lot of work up at the Honda plant in Alliston and would rather not pull in with a brand new Corrola.... At least the others are not as direct competition... Burt

I was under the impression that the Focus was assembled in Wayne, Michigan?? If not I would probably scrap that idea as I would like to support Canadian / USA manufacturing... Burt

I would love another Buick, the car before this one was a 01 Century, I sold it with ~380K on it. Did a coil spring and a battery on that one lol... Problem is Buicks are over $30K for all models now, and they got rid of the 3800 V6 (which was my fav). I need something cheaper and more fuel efficient.... something that fits in better with the mileage the company pays me. But if I could swing it I would buy another in a heartbeat! Burt

VW is not on the list, though the mileage of a TDI would be nice. My parents and siblings (and nephew etc.etc.) are VW fans.... I watched my dad pour a litre a week of high end "VW" synthetic into his 2007 Passat, VW insisted it was normal consumption.... the 2009 is better... not as reliable as I want unfortunately. Scion?? Can you even buy them in Canada? Burt

Yeah.... I should have asked also if a 13 foot, 2 piece float rod can fit in the car interior lol.... maybe another vote for the Vibe/Matrix... Burt

I am having some transmission problems with my 2004 Buick LeSabre, and with it needing some front end work also (wheel bearings / ball joint) and it having 280K on it I think I will just junk it and get something new. This car has been fantastic with no repairs so far but I don't think it is worth repairing with the higher mileage. Looking for a smaller, fuel efficient vehicle..... back to a 5 speed... I drive about 70K per year. Also must be a North American nameplate built in Canada or USA, or a foreign nameplate built in Canada. Not interested in anything built in Mexico, Japan, Korea, etc.... hence the choices... What would you go for? I am more into reliability than style, I view a car as a tool... Thanks! Burt

Thats what I am thinking..... bows may be in that area. What is the current / depth / water clarity generally like at this spot? Maybe worth drifting some roe or chucking some hardware for rainbows.... Burt

They do, sort of..... although it is not on our drivers license, its printed on the back of my Health Card.... " DONOR * Z9 * DONNEUR"..... Burt

Since they have never fished, go with spincast for sure. Once they learn how to cast reliably, they can try spinning gear. Thats how I did it with my three. I recommend the Johnson Tangle Free spincast reels. These have some sort of gearing where if the kids get a snag and start reeling like crazy (which always happens), the gearing slips and you don't get line twist. For kids these reels are miles better than other spincast reels. You can get them at Walmart. Burt

Yes the foxes are getting braver! This one would eat out of the neighbouring fire pit when we were camping last summer. I figured since we had kids around that I should chase it away. It jumped straight out of that fire pit and started coming at me ..... well I high-tailed it.... freaked me out lol... my wife says it was the red Hawaiian shirt I was wearing Of course my wife snapped a pic.... Burt -
I've got my own "man cave" as well, but its not as cool as yours with all the stuffed fish etc. lol.... I have my computer, tv, one 90gal and three 75gal aquariums double stacked, pull out couch, bathroom with shower.... all I need is a bar fridge and hot plate and I can live done here!!! Burt

So since it hit you does that mean your insurance company will wave the deductible Burt

Mostly Central and SA cichlids. One big Rose Queen (flowerhorn) as well.... Burt

No pics but my wife says so, so it must be..... Presently I have three 75 gallon and one 90 gallon aquariums stacked two high in my rec room. My wife says I must "downsize" to two tanks (she wants the one wall for an entertainment centre). I told her I can do, but the two tanks will be a bit longer and a bit wider. She says "OK".... So........ I am setting up two 180 gallon tanks, stacked two high!!!! Picking up the custom metal stand on Friday.... Burt

How many don a floater suit while riding their snowmobiles on / crossing over bodies of water? I would think more people on OFC probably wear one compared to the general public, since we are more likely to be icefishing as well and more safety conscious. My buddy wears one all the time but he says guys laugh at him for wearing it, when they are wearing their fancy snowmobile suits. Burt

Maybe Coopers or Sharp Shinned hawk in the area??? Burt

They have probably found another area with feeders out earlier and are hanging around there. I feed year long, and they know its always full. In the warm months the feed lasts a LONG time but they know it is there. It also depends on what food you are feeding. If someone in the area is feeding better food, they will concentrate there. I feed a mix consisting of greater than 50% black oil sunflower, plus stripped sunflower, millet. There are other grains in there but in small amounts. You need the sunflower for the songbirds, chickadees, nuthatches, etc. and the millet for the junkos, doves... Burt

Thanks for the report, I hope to get out there soon for some pike... Are Pier 4 and Bayfront referring to the same park? Burt

Here is last years tenderloin, wrapped in bacon, smoked until rare, and reverse seared directly over the coals.... (I wanted to do this again this year but the wife said ribeyes....) -
Here is the one I mentioned: http://www.mrheater.com/product.aspx?catid=41&id=24 I had bought one of the Coleman Black Cat's and this unit is far superior in heat output for such a small unit. Burt

You must have bought the one with 2 propane tanks (Big Buddy)? I have the Buddy (1 propane tank) and it is just about the perfect size for the pop up shelters. With -20C plus wind it will keep you toasty warm in there. Burt
