This new owner of a piece of land on a river were I fished for years (1 of my favorite spots) went as far as to assign a security guard with 2 dogs on the weekends, he said people kept leaving garbage everywhere that's why he didn't want anyone fishing there (a load of Bull) I tried to introduce myself and explained to him I've fished this river before he even knew that the river existed and would be glad to pic up any garbage I see when fishing there (there was never any garbage anyway) He wouldn't even listen to anything I had to say, and was very rude and called the cops, the cops came (2 or 3 hours later) and let me stay (2 feet on the bank). The next day he had a fence up along the sides down to 2' away from the water on each side, so I floated in on one of those Bob Izumi fishing tubes and had a blast. I wonder how much he waisted on the security, and how much stress he inflicted upon himself. He has a sweet honey hole there, but I realese 99% of the bows and salmon I catch, I could see being upset if I owned it and people were keeping all the fish that came back every year to that same spot.

Ya, either way the ice is always out by the opening date,I'll be out the first day.

lol.

Lew, that was a lot of good info. If you can't catch a Musky on a Suick, Bucktail, Spinnerbait, Believer, or Top Raider (that would cover it all) you either need to quit musky fishing or find a new spot.

My sister is a real estate broker and lives on water front property, sells cottages all the time and gets asked this question allot. Shes says nobody owns the water, you can own the bottom of the water (land under the water) and have the right to put docks or whatever you want in that area, but if someone wanted to fish 1" beside or in between your docks without touching it that is perfectly O.K. Ex. Since the water level has gone down quit a bit the last 10 years on GB, there was a new 15-20 feet of beach in my sisters front lawn where 1-3 feet of water use to be, so she owns that because that land was purchased with the house. It's usually just grumpy old rich folk that care, the greed will get them sooner or later, let them stress about it and just keep fishing, if the cops do come for some reason they will give you a warning first anyway if you did do something wrong.(witch I highly doubt) Like mentioned, you can't access the water from private property, but you could float down a river or lake as long as you start from a public area. been there done that. Some areas could be different, but 99% of the time all water is game. I think you could even land a helicopter in someones private (pond) property if it was a natural pond, as long as you don't touch their land. There are some grey areas, so just make sure, but even the police don't seem to know much on this issue when they get called in.

Wouldn't that be the cat's meow, write off $500 worth of fishing gear.

As long as the waters open for opening day walleye and pike (last weekend of May on GB) and musky it's all good, if the ice goes to early I'll have nothing to fish for until then anyway. Come April " let it rain, let it rain "

Thats a cool little trick with the pearl, good idea if the whities and lakers are together.

All you need is to slap a little fishfinder on there and your good to go. Looks like my first boat, I think everybody started with somthing similar to yours, I still have mine as a reserve or for small waters.

Hahaha, I didn't notice he was lipping the Walleye, It's just funny because most people don't want to be near the sharp teeth and hold them by the gill plate so they don't get bit.

LOL, I ment she must like fishing more than you like fishing.

Wow, better than the usual valentines eh, she must enjoy fishing more than you. You can still have the romantic diner in the hut to, get the outfitter to set some candles and chocolates, flowers in there for you and cook the fresh fish you catch and presto magic is in the air.

You might want to email kodak, I did a quick check on their site they have a lot of different lenses but I didn't see any for your model, you could ask them. My sister just got a 37mm for her Sony and it makes a huge difference in quality, but your camera model may not be compatible for the kodak lenses that they offer, not sure. They have different lenses for a lot of different things to (extra wide shots, close up shots, telephoto, etc..) If your serious like Dan said you could get another high quality camera, ebay has tones of nice cameras for good deals. -
Nice fish, and good exercise for the day.

It looks like it does have a little back seat ? but you may have to settle for the hood.

You could pick up a 30mm lens attachment, for not to much that would make a big difference at those long shots. Bigger the lens the further you can shoot or zoom in. -
He looks like he's in love in that 3rd picture.
