  1. Looks like a proud soldier with a healthy looking baby.
  2. Looking at the weather, it's going to start getting warm. All it takes is a couple rainy days and the ice will be gone, goes a lot faster than it forms.
  3. Don't fat guys float.
  4. Clean the boat all up, get everything organized, sharpen hooks and head out to Georgian Bay May 1st for walleye and pike.
  5. HAhaa, good choice. A year long world wide fishing tour, would be first on my list.
  6. Well , the last 2 outboards I've sold, a 15 and a 25 hp, I offered to take them out fishing and they could drive etc... needless to say they were both sold, cash in hand once we reached the dock at home. So ask if you can take it out for a rip or a little fishing first, if the guy allows it than he believes the motor is in good shape and you will buy it, turn it of /on a few times, go full out, troll slow ect.. and just see how it's running. To check the oil you just have to take the screw out for 1 second, you can tell by the color of the oil if water was in it, but even if there was usually a new O ring fixes the problem.
  7. Hey Bob that's a beauty. St. Clair ? Unfortuanately all my pics are on old cameras, Got a Digi last fall, so I plan on putting some pics up on opening day. I hope.
  8. Got the mags, makes me wish I had more money..
  9. CCMT, I forgot to mention this poll is locked to anyone who hasn't caught a walleye under 8 lbs..
  10. CHARTREUSE Works in clear water to, don't know why the fish love it.
  11. I tried to get a pic the other day (didn't get the camera in time), there were more Blue Jays in one spot under the feeder on the ground picking the seeds than I've seen in my entire life, at least 50 maybe 100 all bunched up together it was a awesome site, they've been back but not all at once like that. A few woodpeckers and others too. There is also a big fox that is interested, and close by. It looked like a Crip gang meeting with all that blue , anyone ever see that many Jays ?
  12. Nice write up Moose, those blue walleye are cool, a friend of mine caught a couple 7lbs'ers in a small remote lake and got them mounted. They look the they were caught near a sewage plant with that glowing blue color
  13. Do you have the manual/ paper that came with the reel ? You could take it apart and try to fix it yourself. Or call or get a hold of the guy who sold it to you and ask him why he sold you a broken reel. Was it working, did you try it before you bought it ?
  14. > > > > > > > > > the country directly north of the U.S.! with better fresh water fishing
  15. It seems it's popular to release every musky nowadays and keep every walleye. I personally let most ( 95 %)Walleyes go, but once and a while give one to my Dad and Grandma, I'm usually only interested in finding the biggest fish and getting a nice picture to go along with a good fight for the sport. It's hard for a Walleye being on the favorite tasting fish list. What do you guys do with the fish ?
  16. Anyone that's free.
  17. You'll have more energy and feel better to, after the month of feeling like your going to die.
  18. What's wrong with a local trip, hard to beat Niagara and Erie ? Are you just looking for less pressured water and less people in general ?
  19. The good thing about those small old motors is that you can usually find broken motors for cheap with some good parts, and fix them yourself with little help or a little reading if they break down.
  20. It's my favorite musky reel, for trolling, casting big heavy lures, and the line clicker is a must if you quick-strike rig with suckers. Awesome reel.
  21. To think everyone was complaining at the start when winter didn't show up until later this year, than it came back with vengeance and won't stop. Spring couldn't come fast enough.
  22. Yup, best Country.. except for that one stat of being 120th out of 124 most expensive countries to live in, I didn't think we would be that high.
  23. I'm sure it's shown up, maybe the guy who caught it posted it somewhwere, but the origional picture is up on the wall next door in the bait shop. Nice little stories guys, I guess I'm not the only one on to this phenomenon Here's a little walleye that hit a lure more than half his size while I was trolling over 3mph and near the surface to.lol.
  24. Wow, that Daiwa Ishidai Z looks killer. To bad reels don't have lifetime warranties like rods, I wouldn't mind dropping some more cash on them. They consider 6 years a life time warranty I was reading, not bad but you would have to ship it back to Japan.
  25. HAHa, looks like a half hippy, half mechanic and a third fisherman if that's possible.lol..nice fish to. That must be from yesterday looking at the eclipse with those coke bottle glasses.
