You bet Michael. It will be worth a trip. That area could be a weeks vaction next year. I want to learn it abit, travel some of the roads. Im sure If I talk to a few locals and tell them Im just looking to catch not keep, they will lend a few trails. I havent study the area that much Chris. You and ckew seem to have it peged pretty good. I will be looking out that way for future fishes. If I find something that looks interesting,I,ll be sure to chew your ear off bud. Whats come to me about going all over the place is, I wish I had started doing this much sooner. I am starting to understand what you guy see and feel on these outings. Plus I need to get my mind open to other spiecies. Not just bass and pickeral and pike. Them trout and white fish lakes I know would be a blast. No Roger, But now you have me looking at it.LOL

I have PLINE FC 8lb on two of my tube rods, not as leaders. I dont spool the whole thing with it it. Just half. I use old braid for backing. I have been using it for over 6 years. Never had an issue. I also use 10-12 for jerk baits. Again, never an issue. Also like it for leaders on my ice fishing rods.

I wish I had the pics still Pete of the bunks I did. I just used plane 2x6, painted them with 3 coats of outdoor weather paint. Wrapped with outdoor carpet from home depot. I layed a 1" strip of galvinized along the whole length of carpet on the bottom. Then I screwed it with SS screws. Worked great. Staples IMO are weak. Just saying.

Nice unit for the price. I guess what I was getting at was, why not just make them all combos.Sure have one low end model, but the rest with GPS/SONOR. Thanks for the post DW.

Geoff, your lake is on my September list. Will probly be a Thursday visit. Will let you know. There is another one thats out that way I want to hit too. I have a place to camp out if need be, which is a bonus. Not like the Ram sucks gas, also Im up early enough to be at most lakes within a couple of hours, before the sun awakes .LOL

Thanks guys for all the replies. I need them when out on the toon. I did notice this morning that the neo socks are just below water level. I was out this morning and I was checking very often to see if I had any klingons and salt at the ready. LOL It,s been way to hot to be wearing waders. Im am seriously thinking about this legging hose thing. I dont care what people think, as long as those suckers stay off of me.

I seen the most interesting thing this morning while driving at around 4:30 this morning. A bright flash like a huge fire work. It was so fast. A stream, then a burst, then gone. It was pretty big. I have seen falling stars before, but this was much bigger and brighter. Just asking, as this is the first time I have seen this.

Google map is my friend, Yes sir. I wanted to check out a lake this morning. I found the road I was looking for, but had a big sign, PRIVATE ROAD. Then seen a sign, DONT FORGET TO PAY YOUR ROAD DUES.$100. So that plan got put on the back burner. CRAP. I could see the lake and it looked so inviting. Way to early to be knocking on doors, so headed down the road and found another lake and a spot to slip the toon in. This spot screamed large mouth. Yes they were there, but not in the big size. Many in the 2 pound range. What a beauty of a spot. Some pics to share Top water again would not get them, so slow rolled a spinner bait just outside the lilly pads, and boiled it through the pads. Seem to be the ticket to get some to play. All were pretty much this size, Fun morning.
