This is a very serious topic. No time for funny business, LOL
I will use tapping fluid. it,s seams to get right in there quick. Is this SS screwed into SS as well?
I love my bait cast river set up. Throw spinners and body baits with it. I use braid with a floro leader. I also have a whisker/spinning set up. I prefer the bait caster. And yes, rigging with the pin is a blast camillj.
Costco is your friend. Selling for $1.11. Across the street, Ultramar $1.30. Barrie has been bouncing around like a pinball. Morning price, $1.30. Midday $1.21. WTH???????????
Yup. Even with the mil powering the 8" , you still need to lift every few inches to save on the battery and wear on the drill. Still lighter and cheaper IMO then a gas jobber. And as stated many times. If the drill or battery die,you just put the handle on. Day still goes on.
I didn't get down there this morning Harold. Other things came up that were pressing today. Also depressing. The bay is so solid still.
All you can do is trust me when I say,you can do it, with a 6" and maybe your drill is funky.
Just for you my friend, I will haul out the plate and the auger and hook up the dewalt and head down to the marina in the morning, and do a special video, just for you.
I upgraded to the mil, as I wanted to bump up to the 8" and it was brushless, and my good friend Kevin, had already tested it and it was flawless.
Anymore questions?
PS
It did cut with the 8"
The 6"
The 8"
You seem to have the walleye covered. NIce. I was looking at jig heads today for some ties. Opt out to get supplies for nymphs and caddies.
I wanted to tie some mouse fly's as well, but Cabelas sucks here for supplies. Not a single rabbit fur bag on the racks. Guess I,ll make the drive down to to sails in woodyville in the morning.
I was doing my swap out this morning Lew. Hut and ice gear packed away and loading up the toon and what not. Heard it over the radio. I paused a minute or two. Very sad.
This is my back up Harold. The one I started with new. Only used for ice augers. Been in storage since I bought my milwacky. I really do love the haters that balk at the dark side.
I still have my dewalt with the XRP batterys. I used it for 2 seasons. NEVER, did it even smell like it was smoking. Always strong. I think many are pushing on their augers instead of letting the weight of the drill and plate do the work.
If you look at my first attempt video 2012, you will see there was no pushing. That drill then, was old. I still say buy the fin bor 3. My BPS brand 6" is sweet, but have only used it on the milwacky.
Yupper. I remember those nights bud.

Watched this at lunch time. I kept my eye on the other un maned rod. I wanted to grab it through the screen and set the hook. LOL
Those are some nice slabs.
