Brian check the the coil pack, Ford uses a sealed six wire pack. With the heat in the summer they expand and get small cracks in them, once the moisture gets in there and it then freezes in the winter they split open and more moisture gets in there. The engine will run fine, then like crap. As soon as the moisture evaporates from it it will run fine until it rains again, then it starts all over again. I replaced mine myself and bought the O.E.M part and solved all the problems. You wouldn't believe how cracked that unit was. This problem occurs on most Ford vehicles, but is an easy and quick fix as it only takes about a half hour (takes almost as much time to find the damn thing!). Hope this helps, Rob

I agree FF, Balsam would be a great lake for a tourney and you could park and launch at the PP. Rob C

Lots of shoals and rocks on that lake. Make sure you go slow and know where your going. The launch has lots of parking but not sure if 30 vehicles and trailers will be enough. Launching, you will have to have 4x4 as it is sandy and soft there and you will need to go out a fair bit to get boats off of the trailers, especially if the water level is low. Rob C

Note: there is a typo here: I know MOST would know what to do but there are some people in this world who might do what is read! "so the water should be ingested or used for drinking or cooking." should read: "so the water should NOT be ingested or used for drinking or cooking. Rob C -

A buddy of mine who owns some apartments called me and asked me if I wanted some fly rods that someone had left behind. I said sure! Here is the first one: it came with a fenwick reel with no line. The second rod is this St. Croix and it has this Pfleuger reel Just wondering what line to get for these and if they are good to use. They seem like they are in great condition but just want some advice from the pros of OFC! thanks, Rob C

Well Wednesday morning we were up at a cottage that we rent every year, and my wife says "get up, it's going to be cloudy and cool today. So I'm thinking it's a great time to go fishin! But no, were going to Sudbury to Science North with the kids. I thought well that will be good, because both my daughters and I really like science and nature, so this trip would be lots of fun. So we head on out and we have to drive through Sturgeon Falls (cottage is in Nippissing ON) as we get there I see somebody standing there holding this big huge poster board with a picture on it, I am try to figure out what it is and my daughter who is 14 starts screaming, the pictures are aborted babies, and not just one poster, about every 50 feet there is someone standing there with one of them on each side of the road. Each one having a different picture, and a person standing behind it. My wife and daughter were totally shocked. As we head out of the town it sparked a pretty interesting debate. My daughter was not impressed on the methods of getting people's attention, but is very much against abortion. I tend to agreed with her and felt that they would definitely get the attention of passerby's, but at what cost to the town's economy? The one thing I couldn't understand was why they chose Sturgeon Falls of all places to protest abortion, would have thought maybe Sudbury or North Bay. Anyways Sturgeon Falls is a nice town, when we came back stopped there and got gas and subs at Subway and the people seem to be very nice. Just wondering if anyone else saw this going on? Rob C

Very Nice read Spincast! You did an awesome job on that boat cover, as I get a bit older I am finding myself not really enjoying the hot sun and the torrential downpours as much. Next boat will definitely have a Bimini top on it! Rob C

Children behaviors (and I still say he is a child as he is under 18) are generally reflected from their up bringing. I have always raised my girls to be respectful and polite, and to always treat others property better than you would treat your own. Just because his father was a well educated surgeon, does not mean he was a good parent. Respect is taught, and what that picture shows is complete disrespect for others property. Kids will always push the limits to see what they can get away with, we need to be the parents and adults and set those limits so that we don't end up with situations like what happened on Wednesday. We have all made mistakes and life, but I have never intentionally gone out of my way to make the lives of others miserable and costly. Rob C
