  1. Funny video. I havnt heard that song in a long time
  2. I tow with a 2002 Grand Caravan ( 300 000km ) The total boat weight is only 1600 lbs. I have been towing for about 4 years and have not had a problem yet. ( knock on wood ) A couple of sketchy launches but everthing was fine.
  3. Great report and some really nice fish. I like the picture of your Uncle. He looks like a solid dude with the cigar hangin out of his mouth, proud of his full stringer.
  4. Those bucktails look wicked !!! I will take one of each if you are placing orders......... Nice fish and report too.
  5. I agree 100 % A boat like this will sip fuel. Get a 4 stroke and its even better. Not to mention the light weight towing which will also save you in fuel. Fiberglass is very heavy for towing
  6. Yamalube. Call Central Outboard Marine. 8625 Woodbine Markham, ON L3R 4X8 (905) 477-7044
  7. Not to highjack your thread but I have a couple of questions about the custom rods. Does the builder get a blank from a manufacturer like shimano, st. croix, lommis ect... and then add the cork and guides ? Or does the rod builder actually make the rod from scratch ? Also, to add my 2 cents about the rod your looking for..... I love Crucials and Lommis rods too.
  8. I just got off the water. had a snow storm on the lake. Im embracing the cold temps now so that things get back to normal for walleye opener
  9. Awesome !! I love it !!
  10. Very nice mixed bag report. A long ways away up here for bass. I may have to take you up on the offer for getting down there. I think a road trip is order !
  11. 114 till BASS
  12. Because its not a "P.B." if its caught out of season.
  13. Same thing happened to me. No issues with the Min kota
  14. That makes more sense. Instead of gambling the run back to the weigh in at least you know its worth it. What if you kept your 3 biggest bass and headed to the weigh in with 3 hours left and gamble on weighing in one of the fish each hour. Now that i think about the format, it gives more people a shot at cashing a cheque. not just the top 5
  15. Im not much of a tourney guy but Im not sure if I like this format. What about the guys that have limited horsepower ? As usual the guys with bigger faster boats have the advantage. Not to mention all the gas they are going to burn. Lets say your on big fish far away from the weigh in site, do you travel back and forth 6 times a day to weigh in a fish every hour ? Not very environmentaly friendly IMO
  16. I just sold my old Cardiff 101 and I loved that reel. I used it for 10 years throwing smaller jerkbaits and topwaters. It held up just fine and Im pretty tough on my equipment. No complaints from me.
  17. I have found a better way. When using this technique nobody will know where I am, or who I am, or what im fishing for.
  18. Very cool dogs. I was very close to getting one a few years ago but the deal fell through at the last minute. Aparently they are too smart for their own good. Lots of exercise and constant training to keep their brains active. I also agree about not running them to much in the first year because of bone development. Here is a link to a forum for hunting dogs. You may get some first hand info from these guys. http://forums.oodmag.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19
  19. Awesome picture. Should be in a magazine
  20. Uh Oh, your on to me ! Thanks for the replies guys. Im all set up now .
  21. Does anybody have a U.S. post office box that I could ship U.S. bought lures to. The supplier that Im dealing with will only ship to the U.S. Im wondering if there is a way around this. Any suggestions?
  22. There is really nothing that compares to that system down here. I agree that those pike probably move quite far each season to find siutable spawning conditions with rising and dropping water levels. Great discussion guys. Im starting to think I will have to get up there someday. I will start saving my pennies now !
