  1. You might want to look at a Honda Ridgeline. I have an 06 that I bought new and now has 229000 MILES and virtually trouble free other than maintenance and wear items. It has a 5000 lb tow capacity, very roomy on the inside and the normal Honda build quality. It is probably the best value vehicle purchase I have ever made. The worst truck I ever owned was a 2012 250SD with the ticking time bomb 6.7L diesel. I wouldn't be afraid of an older model but we don't have salt roads to deal with.
  2. Down here on the Gulf the bottom layout is not conducive to creating waves good for surfing. The southern version of the above video is hurricane surfing.
  3. Sweet potato patties in butter, brown sugar and sea salt. Mothers Day favorite for TW.
  4. I only monitor KFLA and the lockdown has had minimal effect on their numbers. They still have high number and actually they have gone up a fair amount in the last week. https://www.kflaph.ca/en/healthy-living/status-of-cases-in-kfla.aspx
  5. They are pretty easy to catch off our dock with a worm and a bobber.
  6. If it is legit it is a good price. They have the same on Ebay US for the same price so yours is actually cheaper when exchange rate is figured in. Shipping out of China though. Not sure how customs would be handled. Exact same add is on Alibaba for 199.50.
  7. It sure is a good way to destroy an economy to the point that it may not recover.
  8. I should have been more specific. They have a huge class action on French door refrigerators.
  9. We live in a disposable society. The first flat screen I bought was an Insignia (Best Buy house brand LG) in 06 and it is still going in one of the rental condos bedrooms. Our main one at home is a Samsung and so far so good. Run like hell from Samsung major appliances though.
  10. Just get the vaccinations out and administered. As of today KFLA has a rolling seven day average of 27.2 cases per 100,000 population. The county that I live in is 6.2. and we are mainly a resort community with a ton of visitors. Masks are encouraged but not required, all schools are open, restaurants are open normally and life is basically normal. The number continues to drop. KFLA is dropping and I am sure that lockdown is helping with that but you can't lock things down forever. Sooner or later even gov't money runs out. IMHO, until a majority of the population is vaccinated nothing is going to change. Just look at history. Numbers go up and a lockdown is implemented. Numbers go down and things start to open up, then numbers go up and another lockdown happens. Wash rinse repeat. In the states, Michigan had some of the strongest lockdowns in the country and now have the highest covid numbers in the country. I am not saying that lockdowns are not needed or that they don't help. I am saying that they are not a solution and until vaccinations are fully implemented best possible and herd immunity is accomplished nothing is ever going to change.
  11. Not blaming anyone. you would think a software update would have a test run. Hacks are kept on the down low as long as possible. Maybe it was just low on blinker fluid.
  12. This is strictly speculation but it sounds like they got hacked.
  13. At some point the Canadian gov't has to take vaccinations into account. As of now the official CBSA stance is "There are no exceptions for vaccinated travelers at this time". We already have the ArriveCan app downloaded and will do the same as last year. In prior years we would say we were going to the cottage, last year we just gave the county road address. We could run into an issue bringing the little boat across but we have checked into having a transport take it across the border, but either way that isn't a deal breaker.
  14. I had no side effects on the 1st Pfizer, the second round didn't make me sick but zero energy for about 36 hours and it was sore at the injection site for a day or so. After 36 hours everything was fine.
  15. Switch boxes are fairly common on that generation. The year model makes a difference because I think there were some changes in 94. CDI electronics is a good source. https://www.cdielectronics.com/
  16. A lockdown goes after the symptom, the vaccine goes after the cause. We have gone through spring break and cases are still dropping. Vaccines are open for anyone over 16 and a ton of places that are walk up, no appointment.
  17. We have to move on from this at some point. The advocates of 100% security are not being realistic.
