I am not saying there is nothing to worry about but H1N1 was far worse and we didn't interrupt the entire world economy over it. Still can't understand the toilet paper deal. There will be millions of rolls for sale at yard sales this summer.
-
Probably the whole thing will be history by then anyway. I will practice common sense but not be lead by mass hysteria.
-
Since at this time border crossing still allows US citizens but with a 14 day self quarantine. We are not worried about the summer yet, especially since TW is still a Canadian citizen and we are property owners. I wonder how self quarantine would work. Once we cross in Detroit, it is still 6-7 hours to the cottage.

A lot of the red tape has been removed from the trials.. A year to 18 months it is in the rear view without a vaccine.
-
Clinical testing on the first vaccine starts at the CDC in Atlanta tomorrow. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/government-official-coronavirus-vaccine-trial-starts-monday/ar-BB11ecp5?li=BBnb7Kz

You should be fine since it is only a couple of weeks, but should you run into issues, don't hesitate to contact me and we can get something worked out.

TW and I are now getting concerned about US / Canada land crossings. Our plans are to head for the cottage around the first of June.

Spring is around the corner and there will be plenty of leaves.

I have always been cynical and I sense a lot of media hysteria on this. I look back at the swine flu of 09. Over 12,000 died in the US, over 400 in Canada and over 500,000 worldwide, but we had none of the stuff going on now that we did then. I still can't wrap around hoarding TP.

Way back when I got hooked in the ear with a Devils Horse top water plug by a buddy. This was sent to me a while back and I will take any fish hook over this.

What is the real world everyday Ontario persons take on it. My father in law that will be 90 next week is freaking out over it and I am sort of looking for a real world take and not a Toronto Star take on it. Thanks in advance.

I was in the automotive repair and tire business for 42 years. My take was............................ Some are way more profitable than others. -

That looks sooooo good. I use the shrimp and crab shells to make stock for gumbo.

Cast iron is the most versatile cooking tool on the planet. I keep my eye out on Facebook marketplace for them. they can be used and abused and with just a relatively small amount of work they can be put back into service.

I use a stone made for the KJ. I cheat and buy the pizza dough from Publix and then all fresh toppings. Without the heat deflector I can get it to 600*. I have a friend that uses a big cast iron skillet for pizza on the smoker. this was one of his for the Super Bowl.

They are very versatile, homemade pizza ia killer on them. I would love to get one for the cottage but not finding one there I can justify the cost on so far.

Just a suggestion, I have been well pleased with the Honda Ridgeline. I have an 06 that I bought new that now has 226000 miles. I have done 2 timing belt jobs, replaced one radiator and multiple brake jobs and thats it. -

You can get a recreational shrimping added to your saltwater license for $16 annually. One benefit from getting old is that in Alabama once you turn 65 you no longer pay for any sportsman licensees. Not me, but this is how we do it. I do it mainly for bait.
-
Down here on the Alabama Coast and the Panhandle,we don't get a lot of clams, but we can rack up on scallops.
-
Careful now, you will get that salt water in your veins.
