  1. This doesn't surprise me at all. He's the busiest bait shop around here and he charges twice what everyone else does. I don't know why he would have to resort to illegal bait.
  2. Has anyone heard of them being in Ducheney Creek?
  3. Did you just call the regional office for them?
  4. I tried doing a search but didn't come up with anything. So here's my question, does anyone know of any rivers around here that hold trout. I know Depot creek near Powassan does, but I have never fished it. Mike
  5. I see stuff like this on Nipissing all the time.
  6. Have you thought about going to a rental place and getting a gas powered pump. You don't have to run it all the time but I'm sure it would move more water than an electric.
  7. When I was down in Florida a couple of months ago I was checking out some boats. Suzuki's are becoming very popular down there. I have a 50hp Merc and I find it fairly quite and havn't had to do any repairs yet (2 years). If you had a 2 stroke in the past you will notice a big difference between the two.
  8. I have a friend who works at a Canadian Tire. He said they will only price match stores that are in the same town. I guess things work different down south?????
  9. Original Coors, you can only get it in the states. I always bring a case back whenever I go!
  10. I think it is more of a saltwater thing...you don't hear about it much up here. I don't believe in it, I have caught fish with bannanas on the boat.
  11. Living in North Bay, I fish Lake Nipissing a lot. This lake is loaded with sheapshead. We get them mostly on a jig and worm dragging the bottom. I have never caught one on a lure and I'm not sure why?
  12. I would love to do something like this but Peterbourgh is a little far for me. Do you know if they are doing anything like this in the North Bay area?
  13. Do the Diawa's have intstant anti-reverse. I can't seem to find it on the site.
  14. I guess with the cost difference only being about $10 in most cases it makes sense to just get a line counter. what was happeing with the okuma's, do most of them have plastic gearing? I also want to make sure that the reel has instant anti-reverse.
  15. Don't really need the line counter. Mike your thread had some good advice in it. I think I might look into the tekota's
  16. So I'm looking at picking up a couple of trolling reels. I'd like to keep the total around $100 per reel. It will mostly be used for Lakers and maybe the odd pike or muskie, no salmon. What do you guys think about the Okuma that BPS has? I'm open to any other suggestions as well. Thanks Mike
  17. He looks like he's having a great time, great job guys! Can't wait to get a rod in the hands of my little guy this summer.
  18. Personally, I would never join. I find them to be a little over the top. Sure its great to have an organization out there that is passionate about what they do, but when all they want is more money and they make you feel bad for being an angler if you don't give it to them. I don't think thats right. But thats just my opinion.
  19. I have heard that fishing around the Oxetongue river is good in the spring. Has anyone had success anywhere else on Lake of Bays?
  20. I remember about 10 years ago we had snow like that here in North Bay. I don't think it was quite that high, but when you opened the garage door you couldn't see out.
  21. I have been using the Johnny Morris reel for a few years now and I find it to be on par with other high end reels.
  22. I have the same motor on my 16' Starcraft. Its fine for nice days, but when the wind picks up it just dosn't have enough power. I also hate how it beeps everytime you press the pedal!!!
