  1. Does anyone know of any good rod and reel repare places in the North Bay area?
  2. you know what I ment..........
  3. I've caught some blue coloured eye's in Nipissing but never a true blue out of there. I did catch one in a small lake near Marten River a few years back, it wasn't very big(maybe 2lbs).
  4. I live in North Bay and fish Lake Nipissing all the time. I have never caught one during the soft-water season. I would think that if you were going to find them during the summer they would be suspended off some sort of deep structure. If you are fishing from shore in Callander Bay, I doubt that you would catch any...but I could be wrong. On a side note, the Callander town dock is a great place to catch walleye, pike and sheepshead right now. If you are stuck on shore, that would be a good place to try. If I can help you with anything else, let me know Mike
  5. I worked at BPS when they first opened, we had very few complaints like this one. Things must have changed over the last couple of years. I know johnny morris personaly and know that he would not appreciate someone like that working for his company. I would get a name and fire off an email, or talk to a manager if you ever go back to the store.
  6. I've seen a few shops with that name around Florida, also saw a boat with the same name. Its pretty funny
  7. I'm lucky....I can see Lake Nipissing from my window! Thats where I will be fishing this weekend
  8. all over the place, callader bay, south shore area mostly. I keep my boat near the waltonian inn
  9. I will have to agree with this. i was out almost every weekend over the winter, and caught a lot of smaller fish. The only problem with this is more people will keep more fish as they do not fall into the slot size.
  10. cool....i'll have to try that on the weekend
  11. I seen to be the only person flying our flag!! Hasselhoff is the man....
  12. nice looking fish. Doesn't look like its 850 though, could just be the picture
  13. I'm also curious about this bacon wrapped method. I've never heard of it before, but it looks really good.
  14. havn't seen any in the North Bay area yet. Its been cool for the last week but it is starting to warm up. I suspect they will be out and about by the weekend
  15. I've got a two year old at home already...so its more like four years no sleep
  16. Born May 10, 2008 (couldn't wait 12 more hours till mothers day). Maverick Landon Harris
  17. Thanks for the great advice everyone. Anywhere up North I can find a decent net, what brand make big game nets that are fish friendly? The banner is fantastic, apparently I am only one who thinks so though!!
  18. I might have to give that a try then.
  19. Are fishing around walleye schools a good idea?
  20. I have both baitcasting and spinning. As for the west arm, its a 2.5 hour boat ride for me to get there. I will be fishing mostly south bay area. I know there are some pretty big ones hiding in there. Should I concentrate more on weed beds or rock shoals?? Is there a good place online to order tackle, everywhere around here is super expensive and doesn't have a very good selection. I BPS has some pretty good stuff(I worked there when the store opened), but I would like to find it cheaper if I can. Mike
  21. I've lived on Lake Nipissing all my life and have never really done any serious muskie fishing. I'm thinking about getting into it a little more this year. I'm not looking for any secret spots or anything like that. Maybe just some lure ideas or tips that can halp improve my success rate. Will a 7' mh rod be okay for casting, or should I look at going with something a little bigger? Any help would be great. Mike
