  1. Traffic was bumper to bumper due to a couple of accidents going North. We were on our way South and it was thick all the way from Barrie to Vaughan. This was around 4:30, so hopefully they have it moving again.
  2. How many of you are football(soccer) fans? I'm a big Germany supporter when it comes to football, but I guess I'll have to root for Canada to as this is one competition that we actually stand a chance of winning!
  3. Do you know if that applies to Sandy cove North, here in North Bay?
  4. This is something that I really want to get into. Where did you get all the parts?
  5. I have had both and prefer the hp. Just better fit and finish IMO. I have worked at future shop and they will basically tell you anything to get your $$$...just sayin' lol
  6. Awsome stuff! I live getting my little guys out on the water with me.
  7. Not too sure about Commanda Lake, but Restoule has some decent musky, walleye and smallies. Stormy has the same with some lakers thrown into the mix. Do a search on Restoule, I know there have been a few threads recently.
  8. It's made by Salus(spelling). I got it at Lefebve's here in North Bay
  9. I'm going to try and get down there a few times this year. We usually stay in the park once or twice and this time I am bringing the boat!
  10. Have you tried using another transducer?
  11. I have a 5 year old and 3 year old and a new little guy who's only 6 weeks old. We are all heading out in the boat today for a panfish bonanza and after the kids are satisfied hopefully we can get me a new PB laker(the lake has a 1 week lake trout season).
  12. Good call Blair, I never thought of that!
  13. I can ask him, I'm not sure who has produced them, whether it's his department or a government agency.
  14. not sure what the street is, but its right beside the playground where the dirt parking lot is.
  15. Ive launched my 16' deepv there a couple times. Be advised, it's shallow and there is no dock
  16. The guy was a local. Lol, how did that get through!
  17. I know everyone likes to hear these kinda things so I thought I'd share the story with you. My buddy was on shift last week and took a ride out on the government dock(King's Landing), being an avid fisherman he was chatting with a few of the guys to see how they were making out. When he approached one of these "gentleman" the guy didn't want to talk or answer any questions. My bud thought this was a little strange and asked to see his fishing license. The man responded with a few F-bombs and other choice words and told him that he wasn't the MNR so he couldn't do anything. BIG mistake, he nailed him for having six walleye and two of them were slot fish! He told me they actually have a guide book they keep in the cruisers that lists all the charges for illegally fishing and hunting. It's good to know that there are more than just CO's protecting our resources cause lord knows there aren't enough of them, especially up in these parts.
  18. I'll be sticking around here. My guess is Nipissing for a mixed bag of fish.
  19. Starting this week I'll be concentrating most of my efforts on the humps and shoals in the southeast area of the lake. GPS is key to finding them, some are marked but most of the good spots are small areas the come from 35-40 up to 20 or so. If you are traveling in the main lake almost all dangerous areas are marked. If you don't have gps it might be worth while getting a hydrographic map of that sector.
