  1. Was it pecking at the glass? I’ve had a flicker pounding on my eavestrough every morning at 5:45am for the last 2 weeks
  2. I didn’t see the pictures before for some reason. Unless you have since posted them but regardless that looks really fun. I think I would much prefer an Argo over an ATV. How did you find it moving around in the water under its own propulsion? Obviously not meant to move like a boat, but could you get from place to place in a decent amount of time? I.e. did you find the small lake to be too big or could you easily do the whole thing etc..
  3. If my only choice was to fish from shore, I wouldn’t fish. All I want to do is get the spot I can’t cast to. i guess I’m lazy. Boat, canoe, kayak, float tube, toon...gotta be mobile.
  4. Won’t be long before they use drones like the MOL does on construction sites. And good on them, crack down and seize it all.
  5. So awesome. I’d buy an Argo over an ATV any day, especially an 8 wheeler with tracks. have you got pics? (Of the adventure and your new toy) are you running an outboard or just using the Argo’s propulsion? Sounds like a real blast!!!
  6. I don’t need yet another expensive hobby and crappy beer
  7. It must be an individual store management issue then, or lack of. Leadership needed
  8. Agreed. I was lucky, I managed to get my gear lube oil pump from Royal Distributing yesterday. Another CT order cancelled. RD had it ready to go not even 2 hours after I ordered it. I’m absolutely certain CT wouldn’t have notified me it was ready until Tuesday.
  9. I totally agree with you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being an anti masker. I think we can still go about our lives with safety precautions but the faster we can reach herd immunity the better. I can’t wait for my second shot.
  10. I, like many, have had my fill with this lockdown. I have had a lot of patience with dealing with curbside pickup and hold a lot of respect for retail owners & workers having to deal with it. Most have been excellent with putting orders together in very short time. Even some of the bigger outfits like Home Depot and Rona. But I don’t understand why Canadian Tire has such difficulty in preparing the orders. Everything is done online and pre paid, so why does it take days to have ready? im a bit frustrated. I’ve been trying to freshen up an outboard for months. Between marine dealer, Amazon and eBay orders and shipping lead times, I found out yesterday afternoon that my lower unit oil pump quit working. FUUUUUUUUU** it’s the LAST thing I needed and they’re closed tomorrow. Ford...for gods sake, end this thing. Not just for consumers who NEED things, but for all the business owners who are on the brink. How many more restaurants have to die? I want a homemade burger and a beer on a patio. Not more corporate owned fast food chains! and, I want my boat in the water.... rant over.
  11. Excellent PSA. Orillia is making it difficult for out of town visitors too. Parking rules, $50-100 launch/parking fees. Not sure if I saw post here or not.
  12. I hear spring melt is best time for moose spotting. Beautiful drive.
  13. No burbot or Lakers. It’s a reservoir lake and they drain it way down every year. The fishing sucks frankly, better lakes elsewhere
  14. Glad to hear you’re managing it well and presumably not in the hospital. Get and stay well
  15. I think I may have found it on Google earth. If I did, it looks like a back lake. I wonder if a somebody’s trying to cut down the fishing pressure. Or wonder if these boats belong to a lodge in the area or if it’s some kind of access or turf dispute.
  16. Well wouldn’t that float plane owner be pretty pissed off to find out somebody did the same thing to him??? It’s like the thief to get HIS goods stolen is super pissed off, and this would be 1000 times that
  17. + 1 on the spares. Even if you don’t fix it, it will get you home if you trash the main.
  18. A scenic stop but a bit of a hike is Killarney provincial park. George lake on the interior side or a short hike to the Georgian bay side. Pay access though. Fishing....not so much, or at least for my hack ways. if you’re travelling with a canoe or inflatable, the Wanapeti river (on the Killarney road) is an easy paddle. You can paddle all the way up to the ghost town of Burwash and see the abandoned jail.
  19. Can someone post what this is about? It doesn’t open for me
  20. That’s clever, and looks good too. Again, great build
  21. Thanks Dan, I really appreciate it. But also, my deepest condolences for your loss. I’m sure this place holds special value to you for your time spent there with your brother. I hope those memories never fade. The place looks great, I’ll take a closer look at it tomorrow. A big plus is that the furniture looks comfy which seems hard to find these days
  22. Hey, what was the original floor you removed, looks like standard deck boards. Or was that a temporary overlay installed when the floors started to go soft? what are the panels you used on the top of the Port side bench?
