  1. I heard it was caused By a US wind power company that got a piece of machinery stuck
  2. Looks like a great intro to the Grand. I have been so busy trying to fish out of a boat that I completely forget to try my hand for those beautiful Browns
  3. Thanks. We went a few years back. Caught a few small pike on Raven lake but nothing landed on the main lake
  4. Planning a trip to Halfway Lake PP next month. Does anyone have any tips on this lake, or any in the immediate area? It will be canoe fishing, so cant do too far out
  5. Is it still out there? There's an abandoned 57 Chevy on an island out in G'Bay (outside Pointe Au Baril I think) that I'd love to photograph someday. Would love to know it's story
  6. That's what I have been trying to figure out. Where to look and when. I go to where I think they may be and then I find nothing. Or see Carp or catfish. I'm seeing this and not just in myself. Guys running around in beautiful 40k boats but with long faces. I'd not be happy either. Most guys at the launch saying they only caught a few if any. One guy a few weeks back reported a 1/2 doz each of smallies and eyes. If I see that guy again I should try hiring hi as a guide lol. I usually avoid it and try plastics, spoons and crank/jerk baits. Have tried worm harnesses but no luck as of yet (or this year at least) I do see people getting perch or cats. Neither is my preferred however. If I thought the fish might be good eating, I'd look for perch, but the water quality of this lake is kind of gross looking (suspended algae or sediment) And thanks for your help guys. I'm going to keep working it. If nothing changes, I'll start focusing on Conestoga instead
  7. Thanks for the ideas guys. True that Guelph lake works by honour system (doesn’t make you take them off)
  8. Thank you, that’s a spot I have considered and it’s within range.
  9. Hey guys, looking for suggestions on powerboat friendly lakes or rivers in the Southwest or central Ontario. Sorry, let’s add “productive” to that list. I’m a novice boater with only a 16’ aluminum bow rider (with a flinstones era motor) so big water is not great idea for me. I’m adding a 9.9 hp kicker so small lakes with 9.9 restrictions might work too. Prefer a 1-1.5 hour drive from Guelph or Fergus area Thanks in advance
  10. Spaenaur carries them. Part number PR – 102 has a grip range of .251” To .375” Part number 310–380 has a grip range of .376” to .500” 5056 aluminum body, closed end, dome head. saying that, this has a coated steel mandrel. Not ideal for a boat sitting in water. (mine is dry stored so it wouldn’t bother me so much) if you know supply of all aluminum closed end rivets, could you please post it here? I need some also
  11. Hey guys, new to the board here. I hope to get some help as I can’t catch fish in the lake to save my life. I’ve tried targeting bass, pickerel and pike. I’ve been hitting this lake hard for the last 3 - 4 weeks with nearly everything in my kit. Embarrassed to say only ONE FISH! HELP
