  1. I'd like to see them take on a BPS approach by adding marine accessories, motors, boats etc. At least I'd rather see them be able to compete with BPS and expand where BPS isnt, but I guess thats not on the table. One thing that really pi**ed me off about this covid thing is that Marks, CT, Home hardware and many other stores had to close and do /online and curbside, where walmart could operate business as usual because they were "grocery". They should have had to close off everything non-grocery. The Canadian comapnies take a another hit while a huge US corp racks up the profit. We need more protection of our valued Canadian chains and corporations. rant off good luck Sail, I'd quite like to see you survive
  2. it’s a shame see a Canadian company like this suffering against Bass Pro shops and Cabela’s. I hope they can survive. Their pricing is always been more expensive and a lot of their products are too elitist. (Clothes) I’d like to see them work on their strategies so they can become more competitive
  3. Holy smokes, that’s worth 3 times that at least! Prices are generally high early season but.a patient buyer can snag some great deals.
  4. Automated doors. TO/GTA and Guelph. Ask for Charlie
  5. Bummer, but you gotta be confident in your buy. good luck
  6. I'd be all over that. Floors are a big job and the nautolex is not cheap. He's put considerable time and money into this boat. In my opinion, he's taking a loss. I'd make sure the owner didnt use pressure treated ply. Check the transom. If its soft, expect spending a weekend or two replacing it - easy if you're handy. I'd also look at the splashwell. Any cracks of the aluminum can indicate twisting. Also check the knee brace at the keel/transom for cracks. Check for pitting and corrosion at or under the waterline and where you can see inside. If the hull looks good, the lower unit and compression test on the motor checked out, I'd grab this in a heartbeat. Edit; you probaly meant thoughts on using instead of mechanicals...disregard if you're already in the know on this stuff.
  7. A lot of boat for the money here also for the OP or anyone looking https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/593471394622115/ And another, https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/245966339803959/
  8. I just noticed he has a power tilt on the kicker. That’s good money right there too.
  9. I hope I can post here, I got a 404 message trying to read the rules; I recently acquired a motor that ended up having a blown exhaust manifold gasket. Water intrusion throughout the motor. Looking for a complete motor, running or not or a parts motor. 1986 to late 90’s models preferred. If you have something up for grabs, please shoot me a message with your approximate location and asking price . I’m fine if it does not have power tilt and trim. Thanks
  10. I think that’s reasonable deal. He’s got a fair bit of money tied up in equipment and that top I’m sure was money... galv trailer too
  11. I’ve got the 16 foot super sport. Love it. Wish it was bigger at times though. Great inland lake and riverboat. I have had it out on Huron a few times though I would want a bigger boat if it got rough. Fine for good weather days
  12. How about a deep v StarCraft aluminum? You can get some deals on older boats That have already been renovated. Or pick one up cheap and build and power it the way you like. The super sport model is their bow rider fish and ski type. They have been building them since the late 60’s. The later models were thicker welded aluminum hulls instead of riveted. You can find is up to 22 feet long in the older models There was also the 18 to 22 foot holiday models. Closed bow. Deep v. Usually inboards, but the occasional outboard comes up. Your jeep will probably tow all of them
  13. Excellent, thank you. These can get quite pricey.
  14. Looking for a pair of inflatable pfd’s, anyone seen any good deals out there lately?
  15. WHAT???? I want an Etec not a mercury!!!
  16. Sometimes it takes another to point out how the other half live. So true that small apartment living during a lockdown would be exceptionally difficult. I am fortunate to have outdoor space and different indoor zones to move about in. My “covidiot” comment was not directed at people in general, but rather the large group of people willfully breaking the safety guidelines given to us.
  17. Well I appreciate your thoughts. But have you ever lived in a full home renovation along with a wife who doesn’t enjoy camping let alone living in a construction zone? This is a major renovation. not some decorating outdoor aesthetic project because I’m bored. It’s been ongoing for almost 6 months it’s not taking me another six. It gets done. Now. Not if and when it blows over sometime later this year or next. Everybody has their opinion but my opinion is that we can do this with careful precautions. Standing 6 feet apart at 7 AM in the morning on a Sunday, wearing a mask and sanitizing often, is Very very low risk. I did my part to protect myself and others around me. I don’t feel like it’s in any way shape or form like the people in the park.
  18. Does anyone know if the Big Red stands are suspicious also? Probably all made by the same factory overseas. Time to make this stuff in North America again
  19. I can’t speak to actual experience with these, but I bought an Ego 56v cordless mower to replace my 17 year old lawn boy. It won’t do my lawn in 1 cut (runs about 45mins to depletion) but it’s powerful enough to cut thick grass, is whisper quiet, and recharges in 1 beers time. Im buying an Ego weed whacker with a matching battery system ( lower amp hour) which should allow me to cut it all in one shot as long as one battery is on the charger. What I’m saying is that I’m sure it will do a good job and quietly. Price seems very good. I paid $500+ for non propelled pusher. IRobot vacuums run in the $500-800 range. Is that TSC price accurate?? I just noticed Rona is at $1999 and CT is $1700. Id grab one fast is that’s the case
  20. No, she’s a Covidiot. They’re the ones that are going to get us locked down again. I get this importance of social distancing but I’m also not retired and able to stay home. I have to work full time and also need to get my personal projects done. We lived in this house for 3months without a kitchen and main bathroom. Its getting on my nerves and seeing these fools risking others and threatening to push us into lockdown is frustrating. However, that being said, humans need social interaction. Even my usual solitary self is tired of not being able to see my family. My dog seems to be suffering too as we don’t allow it to socialize with other dogs right now
  21. I’m so sick of this thing. 6:45 am and I’m in line waiting for Home Depot to open. This is my 3rd attempt this week to get the things I need for my renovation. the world must go on. Work must continue and people cannot be locked up for much longer. We CAN do this if we all do our part in regards to safety. Covidiots stay home if you can’t abide by the precautions that are given to you. The rest of us need to get s**t done...Don’t mess it up for the rest of us
  22. I checked it out. Lots of everything on there. hmm, maybe its time to get FB. thanks for suggesting it
  23. Flying to boost people’s morale and the opposite happened. What a shame RIP.
  24. Thanks, I dont have FB. I'm doing this boat up to the 9's so trying to find used stuff that I really have my heart set on is like finding a needle in a haystack
