  1. Some real beasts you got there! Good Job
  2. regardless of bones or not...its a cool way to do it. Thanks for showing. I will definitly try it next time i get some perch.
  3. There's an inauguration today??? I think its a huge waste of money for this "celebration" when the economy is in the state its in. The money can be spent better i think. Hope he does a great job though in the next 4 years. No pressure.
  4. My buddy uses the Oregon 300 and I have the 76csx and if we ar together i turn mine off and want to use his. Like any other GPS it takes some time to get used to, but the Oregon is absolutly amazing. Very user friendly and the touch screen is not really sensitive, which i like (you can control where you want to go with it easier). Another feature i really like on it is its weight. when i hold it, i feel it...if it makes sense...i dont feel like its going to break easy. Very cool GPS...and i am ready to get one myself.
  5. Awsome pictures...just fueling the fire to fish that system in the near future. Looking forward to the rest of the pics!
  6. I use em, and have no problem with them at all. Strong and easy to grab your rod.
  7. LOL this was yesterday morning click here This morning it was colder!
  8. I prefer not to think about it...that way it doesnt seem like a lot when i try to add it all up....if i add it all up.
  9. id take ya, but i would have to travel to the sault then back up to Wawa. sorry man....good choice on Sault College, rather than Fleming
  10. For lakers in the winter its the first thing i go for. Minnow or clean..they work well! I find when i jig them make sure its a snap, not a gentle lift and drop. Thats just me though.
  11. Depends on what im fishing for... trolling superior with riggers "hey hey hey", summer walleye "nice one" winter if its a tip up, i usually hollar loud enough when im running for the whole lake to hear "tip up", or if im jigging and i get one, i will say "put on your (lure on the line), he's using a (lure on the line)" all of which has ton of foul language. i really have to watch myself sometimes.
  12. Saw these while i was browsing the net yesterday. I heard last year maybe that lures with LED lights or lights in general were illegal to use in Canada? Anyone know? This is the site http://www.luredepotdirect.com/
  13. Praying for a speedy recovery. Truly praying for the best! Thoughts and prayers with you, your daughter and your family!
  14. Flemming Sucks! Sault College Rocks! Sorry...had to throw that in. Good for you for continuing your education. Like many of the previous posts here, i completed th F&W program at Sault College, and then decided to go for my GIS diploma. There just wasnt the jobs in Fish and when they were they were contract jobs. Not really the living i wanted. My job now is GIS. Keep your options open when you complete your degree. Also, food for thought, after college, look at universities to see if you can use your diploma for university credits and get a degree. Good luck in whatever you choose. Anders

  21. in our extended family in town we have 5 or 6 households....and all of them feel the need to cook over the holidays, they all feel the need to cook turkeys! Dont get me wrong i like getting together..but 5 turkeys or so...where's the originallity. Any of you have room for 2 more for prime rib???
  22. i hear ya! Last sunday we were in the -30's and this morning it was -27. Truck was like a block of ice.
  23. - Be versatile. it has been said on here already im sure. If something isnt working...try a different technique, trolling pattern, lure, etc. - Try new spots as well...if you fish in a lake and you know you can catch em in certain spots, try a different spot! Never know. - Confidence is a must for me. If i know a lure works it stays in the water longer, rather than a lure with the ol cliche "I have never caught em on that". - Spend time on the water. If you are not out there, you are not learning! - One last thing, try that "I never caught em on that" lure. You will be pleasantly surprised sometimes!
  24. Hey Check out Happy Day Lodge. www.happydaylodge.com/ Pretty good outfit and the owners are real nice and can answer lots of questions.. When are you going? Planning on staying at a lodge or camping on the lake?
  25. Thats what i am afraid of too....with all this snow...some lakes are still open in the middle here, and where there is ice, there is not much and a ton of snow! Good news is that we are supposed to get a warm day with rain. Maybe it will help
