hey with the change of temps back to seasonal...its -8 to-10 at night and it looks like thats the norm for the next week or so, so saying that...i retract my original statement. I did put the ice fishing gear away, but i am bringing it back out tonight...guys were out yesterday and were saying the minimum ice they found was 12 inches.

I clicked this post thinking maybe its a different one...nope...disappointed

i was in the park on Saturday...fished 3 lakes all had 16-20 inches of solid black ice...some ice pulling from the shore already...i would advise against it for the weekend though

We are just starting to think walleye now...with the warm temps coming up and the ice starting to melt is when we start heading out for eyes and leaving the trout behind. I know up here the eyes are a hit and miss all winter long until spring. Be patient, but safe always....some of the best walter fishing through the ice is when the ice starts to pull away from the shore.

Dont kid yourself Dara...up here on some of the lakes close to town its happened on more than one occasion. Lack of common sense doesnt stop at a particular area....its spread out pretty good.

attach it to some TNT, or make a jump behind it, so when they do go through....they get some good air sorry...long day!

I hear ya....this is when ice fishing shines....walleye, pike, lakers, and specks all come to play hard right now, till ice out in a month and a half, throw in some steel there and you got a great time of year.

I am hearing or reading different stuff when it comes to overall winner. AFter the COC said that the own the podium failed due to the number of medals and not being able to catch the U.S., the next day, they were saying that its the number of Gold that wins? This sounds to me that they are trying to justify our medal totals? I am overall impressed with the Olympics, but i just dont think we are were we should be, and the medal count dictates this to me, this is just my opinion remember.
