  1. I've only rented cottages in the Port Elgin area and on Cape Cod. The cape tourism association runs a website for people wanting to rent cottages. Very easy to use and I recommend contacting owners first and start asking them questions that any local would know to avoid a scam
  2. I never felt unsafe there. Especially when every car you see is a Lexus or mercedes lol. It's much much different than punta Cana by far
  3. I was there in 2009. We had a Terrible time. Unless you are staying on the private island all the resorts are overrated. We stayed at the grand Bahia principe Samana. It was rated a 4 star and I wouldn't have given it 2.5. We spoke to others on the excursions and we heard similar complaints - bad food, bugs everywhere in the room, no entertainment. It is also a slow bumpy ride in a bus up the mountains. Samana is in a jungle environment so it's quite steamy compared to punta Cana. I'm not sure about your resort but with ours locals could buy day passes and spend the day in the tiny pool and on the beach.
  4. I was working that afternoon and was driving back from the Toronto Zoo. My wife (gf at the time) was supposed to pick me up so that I could pick up my new car but needless to say that didn't happen lol
  5. I had one walk through my campsite at Pog lake. It was about 20" from where I was sitting
  6. Joe torre isn't a good manager he just had a team of hall of famers. He was fired 4 times and had losing records in Atlanta, St Louis and Texas
  7. I'm not sure dangerous driving applies to boats. But then again I'm going to plead ignorance and I will have to look into it. For sure it would have been criminal negligence if you guys were worse off... Thank god you weren't though. IMHO sue him lol. I would
  8. Wow that show is gonna suck now. I listen to it every day shift
  9. In this day and age ball players are so babied that they aren't tough nor are they durable. 30 years ago pitchers threw 150 pitches a game not 100... The league leader in complete games each year ends up with less than 10. In the greatest generation try had 20-30

  11. Peeing? Never learned much about peeing. I've never written the ticket or even cared about seeing someone peeing. I know the coppers in Guelph lay some sort of ticket all the time because they have a huge problem with drinks peeing everywhere downtown .
  12. The liquor license act allows a person to have open liquor and consume it on their property that includes their yard, front porch, camp site, hotel room etc
  13. Try dealing with all the crap that that place generates.... Don't leave anything in your vehicle or it's gone
  14. There are no cheap hotels in Vaughan. Well the cheap ones I would not recommend bringing your family to. You might want to look at the montecarlo inn off of langstaff rd. or the super 8 on steeles. the extended stay on steeles x the 400 isnt too bad. If price isn't an issue there is the Hilton garden or renaissance on 7 x interchange way.
  15. Yup that's the one I bought. There is a flap at the base of the tent that opens up about 6" from the ground. It's a great tent and nope we didn't wake up wet. A little stuffy but that's because my wife "insisted" that the windows be closed lol. I wasn't gonna argue on her first camping trip
  16. I just bought a nice Coleman 8 person tent at Costco. Kept us warm during the May 24 weekend
  17. Nah I'm not looking to use photography for my main job. Very few spots that use photography
  18. So at the beginning of the Intercounty Baseball League season I became the team photographer for the Kitchener Panthers. Shortly after I started talking to Greg Mercer who's a beat reporter for the paper who covers the Panthers. He asked if I was interested in allowing him to use some of my photos for his ongoing Panthers Blog..so after talking with him we came to an agreement that in exchange for my photos he would talk to the Photo Editor to see if I could freelance for the paper. Anyway, everything fell into place today: http://www.therecord.com/sports-story/3252070-still-some-bite-in-this-old-panther/ FYI the paper didn't expand the photo...it's gonna be fixed lol
