Hey Andy: I stopped at Vimmy Ridge back in 1997 on my tour through Europe. Very large monument there honoring those who gave their lives. It must have been one heck of a battle going on. Although they have livestock grazing there now, you can still see the craters from the shells. Very close, you can tour the trenches that all the troops had dug. You can only picture in your mind what it was like during the heat of the battle .... really makes you sit back and think. They don't let visitors on the battlefield as there is still live ordinance that could explode. I heard stories of livestock triggering one every once in while. Quite the sombering place, but I'm glad we were able to stop.

Welcome aboard Alex. They got some pretty good Striper fishing not too far from my house .. a place called Raystown Lake. It's about 27+/- miles long and is man made and they are catching the state records from that body of water. To this point, I've never tried my luck for them,but some good friends of mine have. I can't spell worth a darn either .. than goodness for Spell Check. Again ... welcome to OFC.

A voluntary tax and you don't have to pay it if you don't want to ? Geez, I've never heard of that before ... anywhere. I stayed just outside Niagara Falls on one of my fishing trips and didn't even take notice if it was applied or not. I'll be staying there again this year and will have to keep this in mind. Appreciate sharing this info.

Man that sucks. Cold, windy, and flurries here today. Heck, just last week we were sitting in the back yard with short sleves in a very warm sun. Come back Spring ... come back !

I don't have a pic, but I use the Frabill Big Game Net. Should seen the look on the wife's face when it arrived and pulled it from the box. After using it on my first ski ... she understood it's value.

Just wait until the grand-kids ask where the Easter Bunny is. I don't have the heart to show them.

Lakair GTG in June. Bass Fishing on the Rideau the third week in July Musky/Pike Fishing on the Frech the last two weeks of September.

Now I'm starting to itch all over.

We can only imagine what was running through your mind when that phone call came. That's about the time you slap someone silly and say "I told you so'. Idiots.

I guess I can only pick one. I use two kinds. I use PP for musky and pike. Stren superbraid for bass. I hope to learn how to Walleye fish this year at our Lakair GTG with someone ... I'll have the Stren on those rods.
