  1. MNR Enforcement Release...$16,500 in fines levied... $16,500 In Fines For The Illegal Sale Of Angler-Caught Fish NEWS June 17, 2011 Two Windsor area residents were fined $12,000 for illegally possessing overlimits of fish and selling the fish without a licence. Nicholas Obermok, 63 of Lasalle, and Carmen Rainone, of Windsor, were each fined $6,000. In addition, two vehicles, a boat and trailer, an outboard motor, a fridge and freezer, as well as a large quantity of fishing gear were permanently forfeited to the Crown. Obermok and Rainone are prohibited from fishing in Ontario and cannot possess fishing equipment or sport fish, except at their residence, for the next five years. Court heard that conservation officers with the Lake Erie Enforcement Unit launched a 16-month investigation after receiving several complaints from the public regarding alleged illegal fishing activities. Between April 25, 2007, and May 9, 2008, conservation officers conducted surveillance of Obermok and Rainone. The pair were observed catching walleye and yellow perch in excess of the limits from the Detroit River and Lake Erie, and then processing the fish and selling it to a fish retail outlet and individuals on at least 16 occasions. On May 15, 2008, officers executed three simultaneous search warrants on two residences in Lasalle and a fish retail outlet in Windsor that led to charges. In earlier convictions related to this investigation, the Coolwater Fish Ltd. retail outlet in Windsor and an employee of the retail outlet, Gerald Goldhar of Woodslee, were fined a total of $4,500 after pleading guilty in a Windsor court on May 6, 2010. Justice of the Peace Robert Gay heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Windsor, on June 15, 2011, and Justice of the Peace Susan Hoffman heard the case on the earlier convictions in the Ontario Court of Justice, Windsor, on May 6, 2010. In order to harvest and sell fish in Ontario, a licence is required from the Ministry of Natural Resources. Fish retail outlets must purchase fish for resale from fish processing plants or holders of commercial fishing licences. It is also illegal for anyone to purchase or sell any angler-caught fish. For further information on fishing regulations, please consult the 2011 Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary, available at ServiceOntario/Government Information Centres, licence issuers and at ontario.ca/fishing. To report a natural resources violation, call 1-877-TIPS-MNR (847-7667) toll-free any time or contact your local ministry office during regular business hours. You can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Kevin Sprague, Lake Erie Enforcement Unit, 519-324-7662 David Beneteau, Lake Erie Enforcement Unit, 519-825-4297 ontario.ca/mnr

I will be in a area this summer that should have them I have heard of people doing this before but have never tried any ideas or help??? I will be in North Dakota in some of the Bad lands and thought this would be a fun thing to do with the kids.
  9. That is awesome to bad I am heading to Ohio again if not I listen to them as I head to Alliston
  10. I forget what it was called I just know Jos showed me where he was going to be fishing so I told him to watch out as I would add spikes on the out side of my boards so he had better put a few extra coats of wax on his boat this week If I am out Saturday morning I will head over to his area just to say Hi.
  11. Nice colors on her congrats Tyler
  12. LSC bugging the bass guys with my musky gear LOL. Actually I was talking to Jos from Angling Outfitters he will be out on LSC for a tournament that is going on so I told him I will be running my plainer boards right by his boat as he is trying to flip for them bass.
  13. Thanks guys they will be $6.25 I also have rubber skirt material if anyone is interested in that for a body
  14. Well I have had a bunch of guys asking about pike sized Handlebarz so I had made some for them now I have had requests for buzz baits in Pike/Musky size so I have made up some for the first batch I just got back from the river testing them and I must say I like them a lot. Here are the New Handlebarz Prop Wash line up.The wire is 0.051, The plastic and Aluminum quad bladed ones are abut 3/4oz and the counter spin Aluminum bladed ones are about 1/2oz all come with 4/0 Mustad Ultra Point hook. I think I might add a trailer hook to them they are also Mustad Ultra Point hook's. They are built strong enough for musky fishing but light enough for your pike/bass gear. The flashabou looks like it might inter fear with the blades that was my concern but after testing them all the flashabou does not effect the blades from spinning the way they are made to. I will offer them in any color that I make for the regular Handlebarz and all will be built to order Head colors will be Chartreuse,Pearl and I have some that I can use my powder paint to costume color for guys that want that. The plastic blades. Prop Wash Nitro Prop Wash Angle Wings The Quad Aluminum blade. The Aluminum Counter Blades
  15. Welcome aboard if your heading down to LSC dont be afraid to ask for some info on Musky down here. Cheers Mike
  16. Nice going guys congrats for the hand landing lets see that this fall
  17. Dang was looking at the Adobe Premiere it sure is pricey is there something a little less for us that would not be using it weekly?
  18. Dang and the merc dealer here said it will be bad in 15 days so I need to buy this bottle from him to save the gas and he would give it to me for $14.99+ tax WOW I thought that is a deal. I like the 30 days idea and I always use stabil marine stabilizer in each tank. If the gas is stilling for a couple moths or longer I will top it up with mid or super just to give a little more octane not sure if it helps by it helps my mind and yes I put some more stabil in there at that time.
  19. Looks like fun I know that a dodge Caravan can NOT make it into Jiggy but it could make it close to the trail where one would off load a atv.
  20. Wow no reply from Wayne yet I wounder how many pieces his keyboard is in. Hope it went well for ya today Wayne
  21. Looks like a good feast for sure congrats
  22. Good day for sure I know I would love to spend a day out with Roy I am sure there would be many laughs had by us for sure. At least next time you have some eye's to look forward to.
  23. I hang them as well as my large musky lures to dry during the day I will put my musky lures on the plainer board reels to dry off with the air as I troll around. If not I will hang them inside the boat for the drive home and let them dry off that way. For your smaller ones and not fishing from a boat just carry a separate plastic case from the $$$ store and put the wet ones in there then let them dry off at home later.
