  1. Too much testosterone, not enough brains...
  2. Lots of Muskie in Sturgeon. Try trolling 10" Jakes and Believers in open water near structure.
  3. Lots of good structure at the top of Deer Bay, troll the channel markers, 10" Jakes, 10" Believers...There should be good weeds in Black Duck Bay, cast bucktails, etc.
  4. Does it matter if they catch fish? They're COOOLLLLL!!!
  5. Look at the girth on that one! Nice Smallies too!
  6. Call Andrea at Scotsmans Point on Buckhorn Lake, tell her Dax from Muskies Canada told you to call...She will give you the best deal you'll get! Great place, decent rental boats.
  7. What about the HBO series Deadwood? One of the best shows I've ever watched, sadly only 3 seasons to enjoy!
  8. "The Sheriffs a BONG!!!" I love Blazing Saddles, Harvey Korman is awesome in it! If you like Robert Duvall watch the Mini-series Lonesome Dove, its one of my favourites, the books even better! Tombstone is a great modern western!
  9. If you are an conservationist and have any regard for the fishery you enjoy so much, you wouldn't mess with fish in a sanctuary!
  10. Joey, you are well on your way to being a great Photographer! I can only imagine how much better your shots will get after you take the DSLR course!
  11. Unfortunately, I can't answer many of your questions...You do have a good understanding of the basics, as I do...What I can answer is, many US Lakes are stocked with Muskie that are not expected to reproduce successfully, meaning its a "put and take" fishery, much like the Pacific Salmon/Rainbow Trout fishery that exists in some of the Great Lakes. All Canadian(Ontario) Muskie populations are wild and self-sustaining, though there have been stocking programs at times over the last 100 years... This makes me think we need to have Jason Borwick (Aurora District Biologist, O.M.N.R.) come out to speak at a Muskies Canada meeting soon, (guests are always welcome at MCI meetings). I will see if I can arrange it and post smething here since there have been some questions about the L.S.M.R.P. here recently.
  12. Please explain being a 'responsible angler' to your buddy!
  13. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I did not ask for opinions of Bay City Marine. They always treat me right. In fact, after my boat was there for 3 days and started fine the whole time...The bill was as I expected...0. They did however donate over $200 worth of Merchandise to the Hamilton/KW Muskies Canada Outing, as they do every year!
  14. I have a 2005 Yamaha 90hp 4 stroke. Just before the warranty ran out in 2008 it developed a starting problem, on cold fall mornings after being outside the starter wouldn't engage...If I keyed it multiple times it would eveantually engage. I took it in and the problem was diagnosed as a bad relay. New relay and problem solved. FF to this fall, same thing happening 2 weeks ago, after being outside overnight in the cold we had the starter wouldn't engage, no problem after the engine warmed up or later in the day when the air temp was higher. I get it home and in the warmth of my garage it fires no problem, so I figure same thing. Its been at Bay City Marine for 2 days and they can't find anything wrong??? It starts no problem... Anyone have this happen?
  15. I believe this years families are from the Magnetewan River, and possibly Gloucester Pool.
  16. Nice fish Rich and Patsy! Gotta love Pre-frontal Muskie fishing!
  17. Muskies Canada has been working on various Muskie conservation and research projects since its inception in 1978. Some of the founding members including Bruce Park (Mississauga Chapter Chairman), Paul Gasbarino (National Director at Large), Jim Hutchings (Gananoque Chapter Education Director) are still actively working to promote C&R, habitat restoration, spawning surveys, etc... The 6 Muskie Odysseys have raised nearly $100,000 for various projects. Check out this list of accomplishments by MCI members over the last 33 years. http://www.muskiescanada.ca/club_information/accomplishments.php Muskie or Specks, I can totally see why you woundn't want to be a part of a fishing organization like MCI.
