  1. Still the nastiest rock n roll ever recorded
  2. Rent a hotel right in North bay and you can fish from sunset point right up to the mouth of duchesnay creek along the 'perch flats'. Run and gun till you find fish, 90% of the water is 16-17 ft or under. Use the hut clusters as general starting points and you will do well.
  3. Sunset Cove offers day huts in the shallow flats on the east end of the lake, very productive for jumbos and even walleye early in the winter But some of the absolute best perch fishing in the lake is in the 'deep' holes offshore. The waltonian offers day huts in very productive perch fishing grounds.
  4. Yeah, if you're not sure about how to go about testing the ice for yourself, go with someone who does, or wait for someone else to volunteer themselves
  5. Sounds like minden is gonna get peppered with snowfall, which will wreak havoc on that early ice.
  6. We are under way!
  7. Nice video, thanks for sharing. Hopefully groups like yours can help improve the reputation of anglers in urban centers.
  8. People like controversy In my opinion, if you have to justify legally harvesting non-trophy fish (on a fishing forum no less) based on nothing more than a picture, then there's something wrong with this picture. I'm just jealous that he has a freezer full of pike and I don't
  9. Brook trout have been introduced into many areas out there as well, much to the detriment of the native cuttys. Sort of like the resident browns and steelhead smolts putting the squeeze on native brookies in GL tributary headwaters.
  10. Then don't do it. Nice pike, enjoy your meals!
  11. Ott river would be a cool ice fishing destination for sure, Temagami and Rabbit Lake both have bungalow options with lots of good whitey and laker fishing. Nosbonsing is closer and easy access, mid winter fishing can be marginal though. Maybe look into Restoule and explore the various stocked laker lakes in the area...
  12. Ive had a couple people bring it up, it does look splakey because of the spawning colours, but it is a laker! Thx
  13. PAB maybe, Id be very surprised if the backlakes around here arent walkable in a week.
  14. That sounds great Nick! We're above zero and pouring rain here too, I'm thinking the weekend of the 9th-10th until I can get on the lakes I wanna get on the most.
  15. Absolute giant. Didn't even know their native range was that far north.
  16. Both are incredible walleye, even by quinte's standards, worth every penny and second of the trip.
  17. crappy photo...Can the peanut gallery please spare me from their lectures...this is not an endorsement of safe ice...don't be an idiot please.
  18. Ice was fished today. Unfortunately no fish were iced.
  19. I use a 28" med action rod for almost all of my fishing...don't overthink it. I will use a MH 36" rod for lake trout fishing but that's pretty well the only exception.
  20. Looking forward to watching Jim Jarmusch's documentary on The Stooges soon...aplty named after one of their best tunes
  21. Couple brookie lakes skimmed over around here...-8 tonight will help!
  22. Not much choice...no paved launches around here
  23. Let me know... we'll have a poolaris date. I'll blow the doors off yer XC with my 550 cc's of fan-cooled fury!
