  1. I kept a couple out of Nip this spring...Pan fried and battered, they're on par with walleye and perch as far as I'm concerned. Excellent eating fish.
  2. I happen to love haberdashery, thank you very much...
  3. Those Simcoe brutes are massive. Excellent fishing
  4. Awesome mixed bag of fish
  5. They better clean up while they can. They've got about a month before SAIL opens their doors, right on the other side of the 401.
  6. One word...beetlespin! Anyone who's fished with me knows how much confidence I have in them. I'd say just aboot every walleye I've caught in 8 or less FOW this year has been on one.
  7. Wow, that is a beautiful little camp. Thanks for sharing
  8. This man knows how to live!
  9. I can assure you, we fish with less gadgets than what you already have.
  10. Good fishin'...Where's the walleye? The montreal's full of 'em!
  11. This is also pretty effective...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZh6IMPvR_o

  13. There's walleye in there, but it's taken a big hit in the last decade or so. The lake is also notorious for its large outbreak of cyanobacteria in recent years, so I wouldn't reccomend eating too many of the fish. Good luck!
  14. Those pics turned out awesome...I doubt I'll ever see smallie action more intense than that day.
  15. Sounds like a perfect evening!
  16. I would've taken some if I had my SLR with me. It's a little uh...waterlogged. A month after the warranty expired no less...
  17. It's hard to pinpoit it even down to a couple, but firsts for just aboot anything are typically the most memorable 1. My first ever fishing trip, reeling in big ol barn animals in the dead of winter out off the warm water discharge 2. The first 'no parents' fishing trip' was spent in Algonquin catching smallmouth hand over fist 3. 15 lb brown caught on 6' ultralight caught in the dead of winter ...are the first that pop into the mind, but too many honorable mentions, and I'm sure most agree that their favourites could change at any given time.
  18. Pfft, where's the specks bassmaster?
  19. After a generous application of sunscreen I was out the door...the truck thermometer read 42 at one point... Contacted an old buddy and got out for a few hours this evening on the mighty Ott...as usual it did not dissapoint... Hit up a small stream on the way to try for some specks...I managed 3 of these little beauties...not bad for late July... Before the evening came about we managed 3 chunky smallmouth and a 10 lb pike...all of which managed to come off before coming ashore... But these things happen...It was steady action at least. Finally just prior to a massive thunderstorm rolling in for the evening my buddy manages a tasting looking sauger... Love the spotted dorsal... And just prior to being blown away by gale force winds and a torrential downpour...I add to the stringer with a nice little walter... A day off well spent...
  20. Excellent report. I'm not so sure I could take that...
  21. Great report. Happen to have a shot of your new rig all decked out? Looks like a hell of a machine.
  22. Plus, it's only a bass
