Was watching some steelhead spawning in the upper reaches of a Lake O. trib today... No suckers yet. Water is still quite cold.

ps. time to make up some snares while the snow's still down...

Bingo. I broke 2 8'6" premiers on big carp, and had them replaced both times. Not exactly fast, but it was done.

Rainbows are in season, so long as you're on a stretch of river that's in season... Check the regs and see what stretches of your local tributaries are open. Use steelhead flies...if you're targetting steelhead, you're targetting suckers...

Up on the larger Georgian/Huron tribs with lots of flow they are quite popular, and are definitely in their element with that sort of application.

That's a pretty vague question. If you are fishing in US waters, you have to have all appropriate licenses and papers with you, depending on the state you're in. Simple as that.

That's not vague and unsubstantiated at all...

Not sure why you feel a move like this is screwing over the everyman... Corporate subsidies like this are what drives the prices up to begin with. Personally, I'm more than happy to see less of my tax dollars going into corporate leisure expense accounts.
