  1. Take it back to the store and exchange it. Emails are such a waste of time.
  2. I use Trokar TK170s for most of my swimbaits. As far as the baits themselves, there are a lot of choices. I like the Berkley Hollow Bellies for early season shallow water fishing.
  3. Long leads and husky jerks for lakers, maybe even run some spoons clean. Early season lakers are pretty predictable. I wouldn't run down more then 20ft.
  4. Both the F115 and the T8 high thrust on the back of the Lund started up with ease. Although, it's not like the boat is out of the water for more then 2-3 months a year.
  5. No one is denying he blew the stop sign. Was he under the influence? Tired? Blinded by the sun? The reason makes a huge difference. Like I said before, accidents happen and this guy is going to have to live with it forever.
  6. I really don't wanna speculate to be honest. Even if it was his 2nd day on the job, what happens if he gets blinded by the sunset and didn't know the roads? That's an honest to god accident they'll he'll need to live with for the rest of his life. Still wanna lynch him for that?
  7. Yup, and the lighthouse isn't where the boundary starts, lol. I wonder how many people they nail that think it is.
  8. You aren't going to get that much forward thrust, when the motor is on and going foward, it's going to pivot and actually wedge that mount in super tight.
  9. Good job Winnipeg! Absolutely no doubt about this game at all.
  10. Woodsman, FMZ14 look in the exceptions for Parry Sound... lake trout regs (Terry posted it above).. Perhaps I explained it with words that were confusing? Should have used daily catch limits instead of possession I guess Not like I keep those buggers anyhow, lol.
  11. Not enough time out of the water to measure, lol.
  12. Landed a giant bucket last week while pike fishing, couldn't believe that fish was in the shallows so early.
  13. Raven makes a decent rod for the price, as does Streamside.
  14. Call MNR TIPS, report what you saw and hope someone gets down there. I was fishing out in Gbay when I got pulled over by the OPP, I told him what I was fishing for and he said they were out of season. I had to bring up the regs and show him that the possession season was over, but I was still legally allowed to fish for them until the end of the month. He wasn't very happy about that, lol.
  15. Yeah, I'm familiar with the rope method
  16. Centerpins are extremely simple reels. If it spins, it's fine. There probably isn't a less complicated reel out there. Check out floatfishing.net. Make a post in the classifieds, you'll find something. There's also a few local groups on Facebook as well where people are always unloading gear.
  17. Buy used, you'll get way more bang for your buck. $200 will get you a decent used pin.
  18. I didn't know there was even a debate, lol. Some rope and a steel leader with a hook on the end will have you legal.
  19. Richard, why not use a service like CrossBorderPickups? Easy way to get whatever you want from the US without paying crazy shipping and duty..
  20. Check the map. https://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.php?region=h&page=1
  21. This is definitely not a private road after talking to the OP.
  22. That isn't a private road, I can't stand landowners who think they own everything. As for the dogs, most here won't like my thoughts on that so I'll just keep it to myself.
  23. Vegas goes to the 3rd round, lol awesome.
  24. Awesome camera work man!! One reason why I always vary my retrieve with pike, they love to follow nose up to the bait.
  25. Spring is always interesting. Was dodging all kinds of stuff out on Lake O a few weeks ago, lol. Glad I run big plannerboards!
