  1. Up size your presentation.. When you think it's too big, go bigger.
  2. I was wondering what those planes were doing out over the lake yesterday, I could see them while I was fishing out of PH yesterday evening. Let's hope this ends with good news. There was a bit of a wind from the SW yesterday, but the lake was decent.
  3. Those fish are chasing shad. I haven't caught as many fat smallies as I did on Sunday, all were barfing up bait and their stomachs looked like they were going to explode. Probably one of the best days I've ever had smallie fishing. I don't even wanna know how many we boated, but I did count 10 fish on 10 casts. Had to upsize my offering as well, Buckshot spoons were definitely too small. When you think you're presentation is too big, go bigger. A few bonus walleyes as well. Glad it worked out for you man!
  4. Hows the new to you graph working Brian?
  5. Sounds exactly like the tensioner is cranked down.
  6. Man, some of the those back drops are unreal! I drove through Fernie a few years ago, never wet a line unfortunately. Gotta change that sometime soon.
  7. LOB and smallies are fairly simple to figure out especially this time of year. You'll be looking for wolf packs in open water chasing bait. You'll definitely need a needle to fizz them if you're fishing deep. I was slamming them on GPool out over the deep water on Tuesday, that was a riot!
  8. Nice looking fish!
  9. Deer are red/green colour blind. So if you're going to put a colour out there, blue is your best choice.
  10. Shimano Sahara 2500 and a cheap 10ft or so pier rod is all you need. Load it with 8lb mono and go to town for casting. Muskie rod would definitely pull dipsys... I dunno if I'd put it on a rigger though.
  11. Sounds like one of our members who made a vid of the north shore of superior a few months back. Forget his username.
  12. I don't even wanna know how blown the local river is going to be after that rain, lol.
  13. Once DI is disabled, you can use the XI 9 20. That's one reason we had to update the unit software.
  14. Nice man! I had a feeling that shaft came out easily enough.
  15. Friends just got back from Deep River (A bit downstream) Pike and bass everywhere.
  16. I guess you missed my point, there are open sturgeon seasons in Ontario But you'll most likely have to fly to them. And yeah, I'd definitely hit the Fraser out there for sturgeon, salmon are everywhere.
  17. Dave, does this transfer over to the units or is this just for the app/PC?
  18. Not unless you're way up north on a fly-in.
  19. Google is an amazing tool. http://www.sea-run.com/beach-salmon-vancouver/
  20. A few hundred really shouldn't be that hard to take care of.
  21. Awesome man! I never net the big ones, always just grab them. Seem to not go crazy that way.
  22. Really depends on how much pressure you're putting on that fish. You'll get dig in with any line. Anytime I land one, next cast is a bomber to avoid exactly this. Even worse with braid. I run 6-8lb Nano or 8lb Fireline Crystal on my setups. Casts a mile, mends good and hero drifts all day long, lol.
  23. Better safe then sorry, leave it closed.
  24. Don't forget the marshmellows!
